Hey guys. I was recently admitted as a political science major to UCLA.

On my UC Application I listed that I would be taking a Statistics course during the Summer. However, I realized 2 things. 1. There are almost no Community College's around me that have a stats class that transfers to UCLA and 2. I don't know if I will be able to meet the math pre-reqs to even be able to register into a CC stats class if i find one.

Will not taking the stats class in the summer jeopardize my admissions?? Please help me. Thanks.

Have you completed a UC transferable math course already?

I forgot to mention that I am currently at UC Riverside. I am taking my transferable math course right now (Spring quarter).

I have a similar question…I was planning to take a Graphic Design class and a Psych class but Psych was full, so I signed up for Philosophy instead. Is this going to jeopardize my chances of admission or am I ok because I emailed UCLA twice and still never received a reply and I’m freaking out lol. Has UCLA emailed anyone else back concerning changes in courses or general admission questions? >_<

I had a similar issue with planned spring quarter courses for UC Berkeley. My issue just got resolved, so I have some info about making changes to your planned coursework!

At Berkeley (should be similar for UCLA, but make sure you double check), you can make changes to your planned coursework, as long as you’ll:
-still reach 60/90 units
-complete IGETC/ UC reciprocity
-don’t drop a course required for your major

The only thing you HAVE TO do is notify the UC of these changes. Wait for them to approve them and you’ll be good to go.

okay thanks deanza! if i said i would take the course at UCR but end up taking it at lets say, pasadena city college, do i have to report that too?

Shouldn’t be too much of a problem. And yes you have to report any changes

Summer classes are not considered when determining admission anyway, so you should definitely be fine. But yes, report the change.

I got same situation! I planned to take o-chem this summer, but school doesn’t offer it.
I report it to Davis, they said fine,
I am reporting it to irvine, no reply yet.
