Congratulations, good luck at Cornell in the coming years. I have yet to hear from 3 of the 4 schools I applied to, but I think I'll be attending Dartmouth next fall. I have to respond by next Monday (I expect all three decisions this week), good luck to all who have not heard, and congrats to those who have chosen to attend.

I have received a letter from CALS today regarding to my acceptance of transfer. However, when I checked the cornell admissions page, it keeps on saying "Cornell has not yet made a decision on your application. Please continue to check this site for decision information. Thank you!"
I feel weired and I guess like previous years, Cornell is sending acceptance letters to students by mistake.
Does anybody have similar situation?

nairda, congradulations! That means you are in pretty much for certain! With transfers, there tends to be a delay in updating your online stats page, so I wouldn't worry about that. Again congrats, good job!

Accepted to CALS for Bio. I still have two schools to hear from, but I'm considering attending. I'm going for a visit this week.

where do you send ur final transcript?

To the admissions office of the school that you applied. Really! =)

i thought that you sent them your final transcript when you actually went over there to start school.

do you have to send it in before hand?

hnbui, thanks for sharing your finaid info. I hope that mine will be similar.

I called the finaid office today and they did not have my info yet =(

Uhm, I would think that they would want it asap to make sure that you finished your semester well. Anyhow I sent mine in when I was sending it to another school. I am still undecided about Cornell.

Congrats to everyone!

Anyone know if Transfer have summer reading like freshmen? They said in another thread that it was "Things Fall Apart"...any idea?

Ha? What? Summer reading? I would imagine that in college you do your own summer reading =)

Its something you read so that you can do group discussions during orientation.

During orientation? I could think of a million other things that I would be interested in talking about at that time. Ok I am sorry I am getting a laugh out of this right now. I really did not see anything regarding summer readings in any official Cornell papers that I have been receiving (mail is not summer reading). Than again, I guess it could depend on each school. What are they going to do if you don't read, give you an F for orientation?

Hmm, you're a transfer student are you not?

I mean, that's what I did at my during my freshman orientation...most schools, if not all, do things like this.

Where are you transferring from?

I've been accepted into CALS Animal Sciences program! Any idea when we get information related to housing, etc? :)

Send in your deposit and you'll be getting "Cornell Bound" which has everything you need.

kkl230, I'm transferring from Hofstra U. They didn't have summer reading, but I know a lot of schools do. Thanks for offering a real response.

As kkl said, summer reading is for orientation. I didn't know if transfers had to do it or not, so excuse me for asking. If we do have to read it and you don't feel like it, go right ahead. I just thought some of us might like to be prepared.

No problem with your asking that. I just think that it is funny if we have to do it =)
