Sure. 3.4 uw, 3.8 w, and 3.66 GPA based on UCF’s scale. 22 ACT. 102 community service hours. One or two leadership positions… wasn’t that involved in extracurricular activities, to be honest. Also wrote an essay.

Does writing an essay increase the chances of getting in? I used to think it was mandatory.

It’s not mandatory, but it definitely helps. I personally think that’s what got me in, to be honest. Besides grades and scores, it tells who you are as a person. Just be sure to get someone to proofread it several times before sending it in! Good luck! What are your stats?

uw: 3.2
w: 3.9
ucf weighted 3.5
sat:1100
act: 22
i passed the ap exam for psychology, and i wrote the essay.
I applied for summer term.

im worriedd :

Wow your stats are really similar to mines, lol. Hey if I got in for summer term, then you shouldn’t be too worried either! When did you apply or did you not apply yet? If not, I suggest you to do so ASAP. Don’t be worried, it’ll all work out fine! I’m going to visit this Friday!

i applied before november, but something happend to my transcript and they never received. So i had to go there and turn it in, but that was before the winter break. And my SAT scores came out over the break, and im just waiting for a response now. How long did it take for them to reply to you?

It took them approximately 2 weeks and 5 days since the day my application was submitted. It took about 1-2 weeks for them to update the website and note that my transcript was received though. Are you in-state or out-of-state?

instate, i live like 10 mins from ucf.

That’s cool. If they don’t give you a decision in a week, you should most definitely call them to see what the problem is. Good luck!

i got accepted!! : )

Congrats! My D is in her Freshman Spring term and loves it there at UCF!

Congrats Renax!

thankyou, No more worrying now : D

My d has been accepted to UCF for the fall 2010. She may switch to summer B. UCF does not seem to have a roommate match site. Since she is from out of state how does she go about finding a roommate

Roncat, I don’t know either. They had a facebook group last year, but when I searched one for this year, there weren’t any! I’m also looking for a roommate for summer B term, but if all else fails, they just assign you a random roommate right?

Click on “discussions” where you will find others incoming freshman looking for a roommate. Good luck. My D found her roommate last year on the 2013 Facebook page. It also helped her to meet others before she arrived.

I will be transferring there in the fall from a CC. I’m a guy will be 21 in the October.l I’ve been looking at a few areas and I have a friend that currently goes to UCF and he lives in Walden Chase. I read about Pegasus Pointe and Pegasus Landing and heard it’s pretty sketchy with the robberies and such . My friend told me to look at Tivoli or the Towers. I was wanting to get a roommate and I have a max of about 500-600 for rent. I also considered a dorm. Anyone have any experience of the area such as nice reasonable areas to live. I know crime is everywhere. I just read a lot a bout house break ins at Pegasus Pointe and Landing and I have a expensive laptop I can’t afford to lose. I can understand if someone wanted to break into a car but I have Nothing in there and a tape deck so all they would do is bust my window and take a repair manual, about $4 in change, and the satisfaction of breaking a window. Also if anyone has pics of interior of a usual apartment down there such as an UCF dorm or towers. I would like to know I looked at some on the sites and all they show is a layout and the office interior on the apartment websites. I would like a little bit of what they look like. Anyone know any good areas. My friend just said when I come down there stay away from any housing with the word Pegasus. Also I’m a nerd, I party but not 24/7, I’m really quiet. I have lived in an apartment before and understand that there are rude people who blast their music and others who find it a good time to do jumping jacks in the room above me at 5 am. Also I would like to know if you have had a good experience or bad with where area you live around UCF.
