Accepted!!!!!

im actually not lying but you can believe whatever you want. i dont really care i know and thats all that matters

the admissions office doesn't know anything, my mom called last year and asked the same thing and they were totally wrong. I'm sure they get thousands of calls a week from people applying so don't take them too seriously

haha. It's funny that you got put in GSP b/c I always wondered if ED kids could get put in GSP. It's a great program.

I didn't mean anything personally, tonydatiger1003. It's just that I think using shaky deductive reasoning to proclaim NYU's admissions department are liars is not a good idea.

Anyway, if you did get accepted already, congratulations.

You got your financial package already?!

TONYDATIGER, Congratulations. GSP is great program.
Because, your "Class Rank: Top 15%" you are referred to GSP.
Yes, GSP is highly underrated.

What does that class rank thing mean?

Hey, where do you live? And did any one else get accepted yet? (I'm anxious...)

I live in Washington State Seattle area

Congratulations!

Here is the deal with why Gallatin may have lower GPA/SAT/ACT stats than GSP...
I actually asked about this in a meeting. The reason is based upon they are looking for a very selective student for Gallatin. Somebody who will take advantage of their program and has a certain direction. They are very writing focused.
In my junior year I started my own fashion company online. I know that I want to do something in the fashion industry, but I do not want to pigeon hole myself into a major like Fashion Design or Fashion Merchandising. This is why I applied to Gallatin. I want to blend the two aspects of the fashion industry--creative and business, to achieve the overall picture. Hence why I believe I'm right for that school.

If only my stats were better.

did anyone else get their stuff yet?
I surprised no one from new york has answered

They don't start sending out early decision letters until mid-December

Ahh...I envy you high school seniors. Sure the wait was nerve-racking, but it was also very exciting. ;)

when did people hear for ed last year? (exact date)

isnt this really early?? are there more people you know that got into GSP?

About mid-December.

No, I believe the original poster. My roommate's girlfriend received her decision the same day the original poster did.

WAIT

So if I'm only in the top 20 percent of my insanely competitive class, I'm going to be automatically deferred to GSP? Please tell me that isn't the case.

By the way, I'm applying to Gallatin. I don't know if that would make a difference.

Last year, students didn't receive their GSP acceptances until around Dec 5th.

For the record, I am in gallatin. Some of the smartest people who go to NYU are in gallatin. No joke. I'm talking about the genuinely intelligent people, not just those who can recopy their notes over and over.
