ACT...Oct 23rd Official Thread

yep, most previous ACTs show that missing 1 on either science or reading drops you from a 36. I've seen one science/reading that -1 gives you a 34, whereas I've seen a reading/science where 39-40 is still 36. It all depends on how well everyone performs overall. Hopefully everyone did horrible so the curve is nice. :-)

The reading/science are definitely doable in the timeframe tho. I was able to finish reading just on time with a pretty good feel for having spend sufficient time on every problem. I did f-up on the science, tho, ehh however my friend said he had 5 min to check it over. Sooo, who knows. You just have to speed thru it, meaning don't waste your time reading the science passages but rather the graphs/charts. If I had done this throughout the entire test, I'm pretty sure I could have finished the science under time.

does anyone know when we get our scores?

we can start checking online between nov.9-11, according to the website, and thats for early scores, so you have to pay $8 to see them

yep.... only few more days

... Or a week

what about MAILED reports?

lol. my friend is amazing..he got a 32 composite, but got a 36 on the science!! that is last 2 tests of course...but he is amazing at it! and he said that it was really hard on the 23....so if he says its hard, its HARD!!

That's kinda scary... I got a 32 composite last time and a 36 on the science. I didn't feel that the science was that hard (of course, it's been so long since the test I may have 'softened' it in my mind)

and by scary, I mean coincidental
