***ACT October 2013 Thread***

I’m probably going to get a poor score anyways due to the short and poorly organized result of frantically writing while brainstorming. It’s probably illegible too (although the graders were able to read my September essay, so maybe it’s legible enough).

If only I had a computer… Just for the essay…

How good are correction machines at distinguishing eraser smudges vs actual marks.

I had an eraser smudge covering about 4 answer spots :(

questions for the algae: who was top of food chain? what was the form of the algae curved or straight and lush? and who relocates it?

Top was salmon (or whatever, it was some fish). Straight and lush. Relocated by air bubble.

What was the answer to the math question that dealt with the students taking Spanish and French?

I think I said 4 took both spanish and french

I think that it was 22-18=4.

Lol I feel dumb. I put that air bubbles carry it. Hahahaa

Oh wait, was that right?!? Omg

I think it was the birds that carried it around

How about the question on the eel passage on how do they help clams?

no, it was 100% carried by air bubbles.

It was carried by air bubbles. I’m 100% sure. I had extra time and specifically triple checked that one.

The clam one was that they live in the soil at the bottom. Which I remember to be answer C.

Whoops. I couldn’t find that in the passage

Does anybody remember some tough questions from the first 3 reading passages (especially the first one lol)?

I thought there were a couple hard questions on the ford passage 1. What was his tone? 2. Why was his design petty?( I put it was so he can focus on mechanical)

I thought Reading was the easiest today. I really enjoyed the twin passage and got it very easily. The eel passage was a bit weird though. Math was so hard. For English though, “women’s rights” or “woman’s rights”?

WomEn’s rights.

Yeah, I thought so too, Binderboy. I got something like straightforward and self-assured, since all the other answers were about criticizing himself.

For the “petty” question, I think I got mechanical as well, since, his main goal was to set up a mechanical, systematic process instead of selling it to just one person. Or something like that.

what resembled the simple gift? What do the players mean? Slow and brutal question? What does miracle mean? When we didn’t go to school we still dressed the same fake twins, ironic,? Those are all the questions I remember from first passage
