Was one of the answers 2 and 3?

yeah the 2nd to last one was scientist 2 and 3.

but i still think the other one was scientist one only

That question had to do with the sun’s temperature. I got scientist 1 and 2

i posted some answers to the English section on the oEnglish thread…wanna check them and see if you can add some insight?

damn… thoughts on what a -3 will be? also what did everyone put for the question about the method of the soil one, like why do they put a plastic cover on it?

question…I had form 73B and the last passage was a dual passage- one about army ants and the second about honeybees. The questions were then divided into 3 parts; there were 3 questions about passage one, 3 questions about passage 2, and 4 questions about BOT passages. It was very SAT-like…( except that they actually divided the questions and told you which were about which passage).

DId you all have a similar dual passage? If so, was it set uup this same way? Have you all ever seen this before because it isn’t in any of the practice tests I ever did…

Well for those of us who had Form 73A had a dual passage as well in the same format. It was about feminist writing though. I’ve never seen this either…

It’s easier than the SAT

^ Yeah, it just threw me off.

hey, someone found the “Twins” passage…has anyone looked for the other passages?

That “Twins” passage was extremely difficult for me, idk why. Hopefully my reading this time was not so bad…
The Science Section was alright, while the Math and English were fine.

Predicted score:
English: 32-34
Math: 34+
Reading: 28-31 This was a weird reading section for me so I’m not completely sure
Science: 30~

Did anyone else find science, english, and reading comparatively easy this time? I always run out of time on science, but this time I had 5 minutes to spare. Perhaps it was just the very excellent tutoring session I took, but I also felt really really confident in my answers for the first time ever. Don’t know if it was me improving or just an easier test though.

And did anyone feel like there were an awful lot of “thoughs” used as transitions during English? It kind of annoyed me, I don’t like “though,” “however” sounds much more correct to me.

jman - For the plastic cover question (it was actually a screen if I remember correctly), I think my answer choice was that it allows the water to go through but not the soil…something along those lines.

Did the dark matter passage really say that it held constant? I swear I looked for that… sigh.

I guessed on most of the last reading section because I ran out of time (the topic being algae was not conducive to the 5 minute warning), but if I aced the other reading questions I hopefully got a 27 on that section. Needless to say reading was not my strong point this time.

I also felt that overall this ACT was harder than last month’s–can we all agree on that?

^^ agreed.

Well, I definitely went down on this ACT. I ran out of time on Math, and just said screw it and gave up. This was by far the hardest ACT I have ever taken, and I have a 34 :/

I usually finish Math too, with spare time. This time, however, I was only on question 48 with 5 minutes to go.

We can only hope the the curve matches the perceived difficulty… If not, there’s December!

does anyone remember if there was any “B” or “G” for choices 23-27 on the 73A science portion? I had to guess on those and it’s been irking me all day.
