***ACT October 2013 Thread***

I had 73A, it wasn’t too bad, I guess. Hm, experimental test? Is that fair to give some people an experiemental test? Will there be very different curves for both of them?

I thought that the Science and English sections were pretty easy, but that Math (especially the last few) and Reading were hard. I felt confident on my Reading though, so hopefully I got a 32+ on that section.

in the reading passage why did he refer to his past car making as “petty”

The twins passage…I don’t even…

Aside from that ridiculous passage which only someone on drugs would understand, the reading wasn’t even bad.

oh yeah, I said petty was because he wanted to manufacture more in the future or something? but idk

I think put that he didn’t have enough knowledge about something…

ACTqrl- if you’re referring to the question on why he needed a permit, which might have been the ptty question idk, it was it’s speed limit.

I had 73a and i thought it wasa very strange test. The English was much more difficult than usual, with a lot more questions that were not simply "F. O CHANGE questions, but required longer explanations. Math was fine. Reading and science were very difficult. I couldn’t grasp any of the reading sections, the science had a typo and I swear there were some questions where the answe could not be found.

Predictions:
Composite 31
English 33
Math: 33
Reading: 28
Science: 28
Essay: 9

The production question said infer so i said he could focus on mechanical

did you get a could not be solved for the one of the math questions about perecetns of sophomores and juniors

On the science, in the one about VRF, did you guys see that question that ask what was different between the two experiments and there were two answers that were right!!

ACT qrl- yes
amrita1696- my life

yes for the sophomores ad juniors. I put could not be answered

ACTqrl
Yes!
I really did not want to put cannot be solved but they only gave you the number of sophs so I didn’t think u could do it ?

I put that it couldn’t be solved.

I also put that it couldn’t be answered because you would also need the number of juniors.

Yep, there was certainly a “cannot be determined” answer in the Math section. They gave you the percentage of sophomores, but there was no way to differentiate between juniors and seniors. Couldn’t determine an answer regarding seniors since those were combined.

Can we please make section discussion topics. Its easier if it’s like that

there was a question in the math section something along the lines of “which angle must be equal to angle 1”…what did you guys put? I chose the answer that was the angle right above angle 1, inside te same triangle as angle 1, but not the point where the intersecting lines met.

for the areas one of the four differnt graphs of a1,a2,a3,a4 what did you put

runfortheanimals-- I swear, I swear, I swear, there had to be a typo there!! (science) Why?! :(
