ACT post-test

thats wrong, the circumference was 24pi, each segment was about 1/6 of the total circumference. 24/6 =4. 4x12=48. 48pi was the answer.

I do ivy...what questions do you have?

For math, what was the answer to the one where it asked how many different ways could you have arranged the 6 events in history--considering the fact that you know the first and last (sixth) event? I completely forgot how to do combinations/permutations (which one is it for this one by the way?). I just put 1/24...

wasn't it 5 events? If it was then it woulda been 1/6. You know the first 2 so only 3 can interchange with each other. 123 132 213 231 321 312. 6 choices, its probability, so 1/6.

Hmm...I don't buy the 48pi or the 24pi answers. Mine seems to make more sense. Why doesn't mine make sense to anyone else? I seriously remember the 48pi as the circumference... Eh well. It probably wouldn't make a noticeable difference in my score, anyway lol.

If we're thinking about the same question, I got 1/24.

The 1st and 6th was known. 2, 3, 4, and 5 weren't. However, only one combination works (2, 3, 4, 5) out of 24 possible arrangements. Thus, 1/24 is the answer. The other answers seemed ridiculous like 1/200, etc.

lol, looks like i got one wrong then. I thought it was 5 events.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it was 6 events. And oops, I meant 1/24 instead of 24 (edited).

i got 1/24 as well

Korey, it is 48pi. How can it be 288pi? Numerically, that is what... almost 900 units?

Definitely not.

For 12 circle arcs each measuring 24pi, it makes perfect sense to me...Eh, you're all right, I'm sure, I just want to know why (like, proof).

I got 1/24 also.

Does anyone remember anything about the native american author interview reading passage?

What did you pick as your last answer in the english?

The interview with Endrich(sp?) and Bacon was also recycled. I remember she thought of herself as a perpetual beginner in that language.

most of the answers for the native american thing were word for word in the passage...well not most but a good share of them..unfortunately I don't remember the questions..1 of them was (A) each native tribe is different...not even close to what it really said but it had to do w/ 1 of the native tribes and she objected saying that it gave a false impression that it was the same for all tribes...uhm humor maintain's sanity..word for word...can't remember others..if u remember the questions I can help

Last english I put D..but idk cuz I just went w/ my instincts since it was after time was called.

and korey i got that as an answer as well

good. I got all of those.

is one wrong on math a 35?

yah...i think I got a few wrong damn :-...I guessed on the probability question and circle one..I got the circle one wrong but idk about probability cuz I guessed by picking a random bubble on my sheet...idk what else I got wrong...hopefully not many more :-</p>

what was the answer to the last math question?

the answer was 1.

I think it was somethign like 4 < x < 12 and 1 < y < 4

What is minimum of X/Y?

So, you want the smallest X and largest Y ==> 4/4 = 1

Why would it be the largest of the y?
