ACT post-test

Some more of the native american questions were

Something about what did the example of "milkrage?" demonstrate about the language? I think the answer had something to do with how you can do things in the language that you couldn't in English (Like make up words)

Another one had to do with how she felt about "Native literature". Disapproved of it because it clumped on the different Native American tribes into one category.

What did the author mean when she said she views herself as an emissary? She tells old stories in modern settings I think was the answer.

what was the last question?

isntead of the 1 in the y interval, it was a 2. I in turn divided 4/2 to find the min. Crap.

The use of "milkrage" was to show that the language had potential for creativity or something... it was either that or to demonstrate the humor, which was wrong. It was choice B or something... I really don't remember.

She disapproved of "native literature" because it put it all into one category. Yup

Emissary... I don't know. I was running out of time. I think I put something about how she served as a link between the two cultures or something.

yeah, you want to maximize your denominator and minimize your numerator...

what was your answer to the ellipse question?

I put emissary was a link...milkrage I put the creativity option and math was 1...i initially went for 4/2 but looked it over again and saw that 4/4 is it..

Yeah, I got 2 for the smallest X/Y value because it was like, 4/2 as Ivy said. Again, I'm probably wrong. I bet I made like, a 17 in math :-/ Oh well.

What was the answer to the ellipse question? A letter answer would be nice.

I believe it was X^2 / 4 + Y^2 / 9 = 1

Unless I got my X and Y radius messed up. I don't remember what the graph looked like.

I put D...it had denominator's of 4 and 9 and equation = 1...I wasn't sure but I know i narrowed it down to that choice and the that had it equal to 0 and remembered from math2c that ellipse's equal 1...but im not sure..someone clarify

Yes, ellipses are in the form x^2/ (radius of x)^2 + y^2/ (radius of y)^2 = 1.

Of course, you can always plug points in and check to see the equation satisfies the given coordinate points.

Whatever works for you. I'm surprised you guys still remember letters to answers. That is way beyond my short-term memory right now.

Yesssssssssssss.

do you guys remember the wording to you answer to the last answer in the english.

--
and what about on the last passage, the last paragraph -- the best intro sentence?

I actually agree with icebarracuda on page 7,
I got 1/6 for that problem

I distinctly remember it was out of 5 numbers, 1 and 5 was unchangable, but 2,3,4 were.
I'm pretty sure there weren't 6 numbers

darkburnout, how sure are you?

I recall that problem distinctly as well. I actually had time to spare, so I worked out every combination without factorials (out of boredom).

Unless, I seriously misread the question, I don't think it's 1/6.

I took pains to read each question carefully... hmmm

I am pretty sure it was 1/24.

it was definitely 6 events, 1 and 6 known for sure.

i didn't know how to find the answer though haha

answer to the ellipse question was ''E''. Im positive.

PS: DId anyone besides me get 20+ 'A' in english? Somehow i got a lot of no errors in english.

i didnt check my scantron for patterns..but yah a lot of no changes...well im not sure..75 questions is a lot lol...gameguy what did choice E look like? equation = 1 w/ denominators 4 and 9?
