ACT score vs SAT score

I'm not sure which to send in. I'm applying as a Literature or Philosophy major.

SAT: Critical Reading - 740; Math - 570; Writing - 650; Essay - 10

ACT: English - 29; Math - 29; Reading - 31; Science - 21; Combined English/Writing - 27; Writing - 08

Thanks for the advice!

Probably not much difference, especially if you’re applying as a rising junior.

What is your ACT composite score? A 29 ACT is about equivalent to your 1310 CR+M SAT.

I would send your SAT scores; they’re slightly better (See [here](The ACT Test for Students | ACT)).

^Should be a 28.

Thanks for the replies! I’m applying as a sophomore transfer.

My composite score is a 28. The ACT is better for my math, but the SAT is pretty good for my critical reading. One one hand I want to show that I’m very literature prone, but on the other hand I don’t want to be viewed as deficient in math. Hence the quandary.

Your SAT score definitely looks better. As a lit/philosophy major, I don’t think they’ll be harsh with that math score, since you’re a rising junior.
