I was wondering, do schools like swarthmore and amherst accept ACTs? or only SATs? and I was only wondering if a 33 was good enough? someone please answer and other people, post your scores!

<p>Virtually every college accepts either the SAT or ACT. Only exceptions of importance are Wake Forest and Harvey Mudd which do not take the ACT and Brigham Young which does not take the SAT. In fact , Amherst takes that ACT in lieu of both the SAT and SAT II's (a number of other colleges that usually require SAT II's do the same, e.g., Yale, Penn, Brown, Duke, Hopkins, Boston College, Pomona, Wesleyan). 33 is very good for both Amherst and Swarthmore (and also good for ivies and Stanford).</p>
