ACT Test Today Evaulation

i put extent of

How about the question about what the main purpose of the passage was for the social science passage with the postage?

yeah the postage questions were annoying
anyone remember any of them?

I was stumped on the postage question too. I narrowed it down to B or D, and ended up picking B, which I think is correct. Choice D said something about Great Britain influencing the post office, which I thought was too specific and too small of the passage to be the main idea.

WHAT! I said D. Somewhere in the bottom left corner of page, it said that the Britain .. umm yeah.. britain something. i forget.

I put something about U.S. and transformation from public to private... I dunno.... I don't know why I picked that one when the passage talked about BOTH Great Britain and U.S.

I'm pretty sure it was the one about transformation from public to private because the focus was on the USA; the thing on Britain was just a side note -- it was only in one out of the 4(ish) paragraphs.

How about that question that says something like... "What does the turtle an analogy of..?" in the twin passage..

does anyone remember the answer to the

one with like, which one can it not be

"atop, on top, upon, top of"

something like that. i put "top of"

and also

does anyone remember the answer to number 20 of the Reading? I don't remember what it was, but I had left it blank and the teacher called time, so i just quickly bubbled in C

for the "top" question.. it's "top of", because that wouldn't make sense... it needed a preposition in the front.

it's an analogy of someone who is a shapeshifter and can change personalities.

swimmer and waddler.

so the answer was swummer and waddler? I didn't remember that as one of the choices..

nono, the answer was probably like "shapeshifter, changer." or something like that. and the reason was because the turtle is both a swimmer and a waddler.

OH! ok... how about the question with the spider silk and the bullet proof vest?

i wasn't sure about that one, but i put that kevlar isn't as strechy as silk. i was going to pick the one that said something about toxic chemicals. but the choice said that silk produces toxic, which was actually not true (kevlar produces toxic chemicals)

I remember putting something about silk being able replace kevlar or something to that effect.

i remember the turtle question the answer i put was several identities i think. i put top of on the english on too but i had to change my answer to that during the math test cause my proctor was really uptight ,and kept threatening me cause i ended changing bubbles for previous tests the whole time cause she didn't really give us a heads up of when time will end.

anyone remember an english question somewhere along the lines of

word,word,
word word:
word,word:

i have no idea, it was the only questioin i noticed that might have needed a colon. i did the word, word one though

oh yeah it was a list of things. Something like "of cars and snowmobiles, (something), and lawn mowers. You had to put something in between snowmobiles and (something). I think I might have put the colon, because otherwise you would have had to repeat "of" in front of the last two items listed. But I don't think a colon is right.

i used the colon also
