ACT Test Today Evaulation

oh. my. goodness. i'm the luckiest bastard in the world. i realized that i didnt fill in a bubble after i was done with the science section, and did a quick scan of the number of As, Bs, Cs, Ds, Gs, Hs, Is, Js across the section. I realized that there was a defiency of B's and H's so I went with B. I LOVE MY LIFE.

.... How the hell do you remember that?

I honestly don't even remember what the four reading passages were, let alone individual questions. There was one about the post office...

English: okay, but I was a little thrown off because the types of questions were a bit different than the Barron's ones I'd been working on. Still, not too bad.
Math: I got confused at first, but I think I did pretty well, had chance to double-check 1/3 of the problems.
Reading: Almost ran out of time so I just skimmed the science passage, but the answers were pretty much just referring so I think I did okay. A LOT easier than the ones in the Barron's book.
Science: Good, except for the 3 passages one, which took a bit of time. Still easier than Barron's though.
Writing: I have a feeling I didn't do too well on that. My mind at this point was on lunch heh. Had a great conclusion though, so hopefully that'll make up for part of it. Didn't really talk about the virtues of teaching social skills, but used 2 really great examples for NOT teaching them so hopefully that's okay. Maybe a 10 or 11? Hopefully anyways.

Guessed on maybe two or three, but not blind guessing because I had a 50/50 chance on those. For the part about the photographer where the question was should you include the "One wonders about who would arrive or when..." etc., did you put yes or no?

Also, is the ACT score just purely based on percentages, as in if you get 90% of the questions right, your score will be 90% of 36? And I thought the writing score was a part of the English score...?

. For the "size up to" question, i wrote "size up." Any other thought

i dont think i used the word "size" in my response
i forgot what it was tho

oh and:

it's that rough??

yeah, the score chart in the real ACT book is more generous

anyone know the answer:
. For the "size up to" question, i wrote "size up." Any other thought

i dont think i used the word "size" in my response
i forgot what it was tho

?

what was the three passage question on the science? these are the ones i remember: skin, venus-earth-mars atmosphere, fly lab, shell, something with a car engine, something with gass volumes when heated (not sure of this one, maybe it was part of one of other passages, maybe it wasnt on the test)

instead of size up i did the answer with the word extent in it. size up sounded too informal for me.

i definitely think that it's size up. the answer choice with the word "Extent" in seemed too wordy. and size up isn't informal.

yeah I think I put aize up too. It was something like "size up" the situation because (s)he was evaluating the seriousness of the problem and how they'd have to move the bees.

Couldn't size up also mean make it bigger?

"Couldn't size up also mean make it bigger?"

That'd be "super size"

lol, sorry.

I thought size up was evaluating/measuring the problem. And that's what I put. Yep.

does anyone remember anything else? and was the sister really a designer?

Oh darn... How about that math question with the matrices?

The sister was a designer... and I got that one wrong..... cause I put a writer.. and the author was the writer..

matrices was -3, right?

oh, and read my "smart states" thread and tell me what you think. i think its logical.

hm.. I got -4.. for the matrices..

can anyone confirm this?
