If you have sent in an ACT to a college and it has a writing portion but you take another act without writing and you score better and you send that in will the college accept the writing and the new composite score or is the first test a package deal sort of thing
Most colleges that require the writing section if you provide ACT do not tell you on their websites what they do with an ACT w/o writing if you also send one with writing. In most cases to learn the answer, you would need to contact each college in which you have an interest because there is no one answer. Moreover, you cannot assume a college that says it superscores ACTs, meaning it uses the highest section scores from multiple ACT tests to determine admission if you submit more than one test, will even use an ACT w/o writing to do that. Many colleges would ignore the one w/o writing but others would consider it.
