I agree with gigumaggie I think its in everyone’s best interest to keep things positive and factual. Anyways the second wave of decisions are due this week I wish all of the people on this site (including myself) the best of luck. God bless!

any good news?

any one else go from step 4 to step 5 today??? anyone? anyone?..

Nope but, it says my decision was sent today under the correspondence tab eventhough it said it was sent on the 7th next to the step four ??

“Step 4: Communicate Admission Decision [A decision for this application was mailed on 5/7/2009] [YOU ARE HERE]”

I am still on step 4 as well.

Still on step 3 here.

Still step 3… (Mays)

is there anyway to cancel my application? so far i am not happy with how things are going. I never got any clear answer from the admissions. idk why it’s taking too long and why they want my this semesters transcript also. I have 40 hours with 3.5 GPA. I got into UT liberal arts and it was a simple process. They told me that if I have a 3.5 GPA with 30 transferable hours, I will get into liberal arts and i did get admitted to UT 2 weeks ago. But at A&M i don’t know whats going on.
I am pretty sure it’s harder to get into UT than it is to get into A&M.
A&M is a good school, but it’s still not as good as UT in most of the departments. (Don’t get me wrong, but that’s according to the rankings). but from the admissions process, A&M makes it seem like the other way around.

ampzor,
are you on step 4? i was told by mech engineering friday that they would be continuing to review apps today and hopefully send them bsck to admissions late today or sometime tommorow. either im being lied to or there is something wrong with your ais page? either way the best of luck to you man im still on step 3

Yeah I am on step four. My letter is in the mail. Maybe they sent denials last week and sending acceptances this week. From what you said about having to complete calculus 2 and all the physics, I don’t think I was admitted.

Oh and I got a B in physics mechanics and heat. I am sooo ****ed. I got an 89.1 in the class lol. There was only 1 A and the guy made it was a 50 something year old engineer who is retired and just taking classes for fun lol… ■■■!

that is strange. because the professor i spoke and the adviosr told me that they did not even start reviewing apps till friday because one of the people that helps make decisions was out of town until friday. have u called mech engineering to verify accuracy? maybe u exceeded all expectations and got in early

I highly doubt I exceeded all expectations. I don’t really want to speculate but, they might have liked my essay since it was very personalized towards A&M with stuff about their research and such. But I really dont know since it could be a denial haha… Im just going to wait. I think one other person on this board is on step four for engineering too.

When did you move to step 4? today? I’m getting a bit nervous now. Maybe acceptance letters go out first and then denials? Our GPA is almost the same with only difference being I had mechanics and heat finished and more hours than you. Maybe your essay did put you over the top and mine sucked. I got an A in electricity, magnetism, and light but got my first ever C in Calculus II. That class sucks. 15 started the class 9 dropped 1 B and 5C’s. But I was told I should still get in if they want to review my spring grades because my gpa was high enough and it was my first c ever.

i’m showing the same info as ampzor. still on step 4. don’t know if that’s a good thing or bad thing… under the correspondence tab it says my admissions decision was mailed.

my boyfriend is applying for transfer for mech engineering. his AIS was moved to step 4 on friday, and it says they mailed his letter on may 7th. but when i got admitted to A&M as a freshman, it allowed me to view my admission decision online. do they force transfers to wait for their decision in the mail, or are they not letting him see the decision because he got denied?

“Please note: applicants who have not yet received a decision letter and whose files were complete by the March 15, 2009 deadline should send an official college transcript reflecting final Spring grades by June 1, 2009 for reconsideration for Fall, 2009.”

I was moved to step four on friday.

this whole transfer thing has just been a terrible process lol. god knows yall have waited how long. the worst is that nobody seems to know what the heck is going on. best of luck to everyone!

same with me ampzor. i figured it might take a few extra days to move to step 5 since admissions isn’t open on the weekends… (at least i don’t think it is) it also states on step 4 that a decision was mailed on May 7th, but then it states that it was mailed today under correspondene. idk what’s going on…

also, does the AIS alert message about spring grades appear on accepted applicants’ AIS? just curious…
