Admission for Transfer Student

sarbear009, I think someone said that they went to step 5 after 2 days of being on step 4, then he received his letter. The process is so agonizing.

(Mays) still on step 3. Does anyone know if anybody has got rejected by Mays? Or heard anything from them at all?

Hey mcalvelloxx, when you got your letter, was the envelope big? Like did it contain a transfer guide type of thing? Or was it just an envelope?

Big envelope with the “Now that you are admitted” booklet and the app. for housing.
Ahh, I need roommates!!

Well crap. I hope I get a big envelope lol… Are you living off campus?

this process is definitely agonizing! yeah his thing also said it was mailed on the 7th, but on the correspondence tab said the 11th. although i attend a&m, i am extremely disappointed with the transfer admissions process. i know they’ve had a record number of applicants this year, but someone up there needs to get their ***** together. this is putting a strain our on relationship because if he doesn’t go to a&m then…i’m not sure what will happen, and the worst is he was “supposed” to have known his fate like a month ago. i am just hoping he is accepted since it seems logical they would have waited to deny everyone at the very end of the review process like they do with freshman, but who knows. this crap is all sorts of messed up lol.

Yeah, off campus.
No idea where though.
Woodlands would be nice but I don’t know of anyone looking for a place or roommates.
And my friends got a house already. That’s the reason why I hate A&M’s transfer process.

Well… at least you guys are on step 4. Im starting to think that being on step 3 is a bad thing. Or maybe the people who’ve been on step four since Friday are the applicants who fall short a few hours and just need to send in spring grades for further review. I’ve tried calling Tamu and everyone acts clueless. Isn’t it amazing how all the admissions representatives play dumb when you ask them questions about decisions?

mcalvelloxx, i have signed a lease at the woodlands already, if i dont get in we might could work out some sort of subleasing thing, there arent any spots by now, did anyone that went to step 4 friday get their letter today? mine should have come today, but nothing!

Nothing yet. But, it said it was mailed today under the correspondence tab so… Im hoping by Wednesday. Maybe tomorrow since I live an hour and a half away.

gigumaggie, that sounds good.
But I do hope you get in!!
Do you already have roommates lined up?

It’s almost over guys! Hang in there. I know it’s painful.

still on step 3… engineering major… I’m too scared

I just went down there this weekend and signed a lease with my buddie at Campus View apartments…I would recommend them, especially if anyone is going to the Corps. Its only a 5 min drive to the PT fields.

i called a&m twice today… i got totally different answers from two different people… still on step 3… I don’t know the exact reason why i’m not moving to step 4 or 5…

you’re not alone…I’m still on step 3, nothing on howdy has changed either…this is just so much fun

Still on step 3 here.

I contacted my department, and they said decisions were sent to admissions last Wednesday and should be posted by the end of this week.

Which department did you apply to?

Am I the only one that got the notice to send spring grades?

If you’re talking about the alert on your AIS then no. Everyone has that.

splinter, that message was sent to pretty much everyone even people that got accepted. Inter89 have you heard anything from Mays?
