Admission for Transfer Student

Liberal Arts/Political Science

still on step 3…i guess no news is good news, because they didn’t flat out reject us, they’re just taking more time to look at our stuff, and possibly offer scholarships?! haha here’s hoping!

Hey Mitch
I transfer same as your deparment too, but I have receive decison letter today, and I have checked on web, my application on step #4, it’s okay for waiting and sent out Spring Grade to reconsider? Or I have not chance to get in?
Thank for helping

So you got a letter and they want you to send your Spring grades to them? If so, I personally decided not to send my grades in if they didn’t accept me the first time because I can’t wait that long to get an apartment in either College Station or San Antonio.

It’s really up to you but I would think the chances of getting in would be very low, unless you had a 4.0, but it wouldn’t hurt to send them in just in case.

I just went to step 5 as an agribusiness major.

Yes! I already got my letter today, They said that “we determined that your application for admisson could not be approved at this time”
but also they want me to sent Spring grades by June 1.
So, it’s chance for me you think?
I am really tire of this.
And I am on step #4 with mail decison mail on 5/7/2009
and under step #4 with small setence “We will inform you the decision for this application.”

agfa, grats! Hopefully everyone else will hear soon.

Went to step 5 finally im a economics major

Nice. I was denied also. They want my spring grades. I guess I get to play another waiting game…

Those who got accepted might want to read about the TSI status.
[Texas Success Initiative - Student Learning Center - Texas A&M University](<a href=“Home - Academic Success Center”>Home - Academic Success Center)

I called and they didn’t know my TSI was complete.
Apparently, you must meet TSI requirements before you attend the new student conference/register for college-level classes.

The TSI info is usually in your transcript…

Just a heads up…

Sorry to hear that. Like I said, if they didn’t accept me the first time I wasn’t going to send them my grades [but I just got moved to step 5 :)] but that was just a personal decision. I can’t really say what your chances are but it wouldn’t hurt to send them in.

Anyone know what conferences are more geared for transfers ?

sorry to hear that ampzor. I’m still on step 3. I don’t know if that is a good thing or not. Are you going to send in your spring grades? or are you going somewhere else?

I know the May conference is more for freshmen but whatevs…
I need to find a freaking place to live ASAP…

Just FYI the first available orientation is June 25-26. :frowning: I signed up for that one.

amezquita05, Its probley a good thing. After you said the professor told you that anyone who didn’t complete up to physics II will be denied, I knew I was denied basically. So I’m not suprised. Im sending in my spring grades but, that B I made in physics mechanics is going to really hurt. (I really want to pound my teacher in the face… he grades out of 10 and rounds all the grades, so my 9.4’s and 9.3’s were all rounded down, 2+ points on final average went poof.) So instead of having a 90.6 like I was supposed to have, I got an 88.4. What really sucks is that there is no physics II course for the fall at my school incase I get denied :(.

Gl getting any decent classes Mitch :P

ampzor, did your denial show up on AIS or was it just a letter?

anyone on step 3 send in their transcripts yet? i’m trying to decide whether i should or should not just yet

one B should not hurt you. you should still get in. Our stats where almost identical expect for the me having physics 1 and cal 1 completed. I wonder why they would accept one but not the other.

mitch8002 are the may conferences completely booked? It is gonna suck if they are because I wanted to attend summer.
