Admission for Transfer Student

yep. as of right now this is what the registration page looks like

“You are currently registered for the New Student Conference on 6/25/2009 - 6/26/2009. Following is the list of available NSC Conferences:”

Select NSC Date Available Seats
____ 8/20/2009 - 8/21/2009 98
____ 7/20/2009 - 7/21/2009 96

There are around 75 seats left for the 6/25-26 NSC

I got a letter today that said “we determined that your application for admission could not be approved at this time. Please refer to our web site at admissions.tamu.edu for an explanation of the criteria used in making our transfer decision.” Is this what everyone else has been getting?

Orsche - that just means you don’t have the required 24 hours. At the transfer admission sessions I attended, the advisers said everyone with under 24 hours would be denied and would be reconsidered after they sent in spring grades.

My transcript shows 43 hours…

Are those 43 transferrable hours? I know that I have around 34 hours and only 28 actually transferred. That would be weird however that almost half of your hours wouldn’t transfer.

only 3 hours aren’t transferable, so that leaves 40 hours that are. I guess I have to call the prospective center tomorrow and see what is up.

Yeah i need to find a place as well sense i dont know anyone at all in college station can yall recommend any good 1 bedroom places ?

djkyle65, try facebook’s marketplace.
People post “looking for roommates” ads there…

I think 2818 Place has 1 bedroom units available.

I got the same thing in my letter Orsche. I had 26 credits at the time of my application. All of my credits transfered…

Sorry to hear that you didn’t get in Ampzor. I think you should send in you’re spring grades as soon as you get them. Don’t give up. At least you heard back I don’t know why Mays hasn’t sent me a letter. Oh well… I don’t know if that is a good or bad thing.

Are any of yall bringing your parents to the conference ?

ampzor, I’m going to call the prospective student center tomorrow first thing in the morning. I’ll let you know if anything important comes up. This is ridiculous.

I called the prospective center and the lady told me she couldn’t find anything on my file that says that I don’t meet the minimum requirement. She said she’ll do some more digging and call me back later, hopefully today.

Im going to call very soon. I can’t figure out why Im still on step 3. Its mid May already!

Howdy all! I have never posted here but I have been following yall. Is anyone else still waiting on Industrial Distribution?

still on step 3. I don’t how a few of you guys got accepted like two weeks ago. Engineering is so freaking slow. ME said apps are at the dean’s office today and then they will go to admissions. So hopefully letter next week? Did anyone here besides me and ampzor apply to ME?

Im on step 3 and I applied to ME as well but i havent taken physics or cal 2 so i am thinkin I wont get accepted even though i have a 4.0…Does anybody know if they consider applicants for their second choice or is it an automatic denial if you dont meet dept. requirements…

ampzor did you not get consideration for you second choice major

K.O. I had the same stats as you and I was denied (I also didn’t have calc 2 or physics I completed by application date)… Not to be mean or anything but I would expect a denial letter. But its wierd how your not on step four yet. They claim they reviewed me for my second choice major but I doubt it. What was your second choice?
