Admission for Transfer Student

Engineering seems to be about the worst! I just want to find out if i need to move or not. Unfortunately I am a bit different from what most people are on this thread I have about 100 hours, and I refuse to waste another year. I spent enough time chasing this Aggie dream.

my second choice was school of science-math

100 hours rover…thats way to much half wont even transfer

Ah ok… my second choice was also in engineering. At the least you should get into the math major… I just got off the phone with the admissions office regarding 2nd chance applicants like myself, and he said that I won’t hear until July O_o.

well ampzor im sorry to hear you didnt get accepted because I know how tidious and stressful this whole process is…I am so tired of all this I may have to just settle with texas tech…with the bad their is always good, at least their giving me $19,000 a year to go to school there…

Im waiting on UT to review my application since I had less than 30 hours so they needed my springs grades… but, I really don’t want to go there even if I have no other place to go.

Edit: Where in H-town do you live?

southwest side by the galleria…I also applied to Ut and they are waiting on my grades as well and its the same deal with them…if you dont have cal 2 completed they wont even look at your application. I applied to the school of natural science that way I could get accepted and Ms. Gore told me that she would look at my summer grades for consideration in to engineering, because i will have cal 2 completed by then. When it comes to helpfulness and the admissions process UT is far better than A&M…I think little things like this help with the decision. UT seems way more organized than A&M, and I know they had way more applicants

I live in Katy. I completed Cal 2 this spring. Yeah UT does seem more organized…

do you go to hcc…

Nope. Cyfair.

100 is a lot but most of them will work out. I went and spoke with the advisor for ID and by her calculation, if they accept me, ill have about 40 left. Its from a state school and a similiar type of degree. however if i move to san marcos i can be done in about 24 hours…want a ring, but im tired…just done sounds good as well

So… I guess the only people still on step 3 is:

amezquita05
alchemist5
blackag
Inter89

I wonder if being on step 3 is a good thing at this point. Of the people mentioned above I hope yall have good grades and fufilled all the requirements. If so I’m in good company.

Ya I hope ya’ll get in because this is a really long wait for nothing…

Ampzor, how did u do in cal II. did that class not suck or what?

Looks like I’m In for Mechanical Engineering. Paid of that classes at my community college ended bout 3 weeks ago and i sent in my transcript right away. Now they need to hurry up and make it official so I can see if I can register for summer. Whoooop!!

Huh? You were admitted? Yeah Cal 2 was the pits. I got a B+ :frowning: but that was my dumb fault. I never opened the book or did HW. How about you?

i got my first ever C. C+ but still a damn C. It’s not official yet, still on step 3, but I know I got admitted. The people at admissions are *******s but the people at ME are cool and really nice.

amezquita05, you called the ME department and they told you that you’re in?

I was told I was accepted for fall 09 decisions should officially come next week.

I was told sometimes they will say yay or nay. I think i just sounded desperate so they had pity on my soul.
