Admission for Transfer Student

You did WHAT?! I’ll pretend I never read that… haha…

lol. ampzor that was my backup but I actually applied for summer not fall.

I want my email address so I can join the FB network!! :stuck_out_tongue:
Tamu is so slow. UT already gave me an email…

My dad is a bit disappointed that I chose A&M over UT…
Whatevs…

Haha but you made the right choice. Aren’t you paying for your own college so why does it matter? Im still waiting on UT to give me a decision already…

Inter89: If u were asking me about my stats they r 3.9 gpa/43 hours of transferable credits to Mays.
mclavelloxx: lol well my dad is a PhD alum at A&M and i’m born in bryan/college station so he was thrilled about my acceptance.

tzoooor, I thought we went over this. You have a 3.92. Get it right ;)

Your going to hell for lieing. Pce.

He will probably help me out a bit…as long as I do well.

mcalvelloxx, how did you already get an e-mail for UT? I thought that was suppose to be done at the orientation.

and I applied to both UT and A&M but I am choosing UT because it’s only 1 hour I-35 drive from my home because I live on I-35 and UT is on I-35 lol. But more importantly I chose UT because I can still get into McCombs internally next year. I don’t like how if you want to get into Mays internally, you can’t have more than 75 hours.(I would have more than 75 hours if I try to transfer internally for Mays).

You can sign up for an email account here:
[UMBS E-mail - Overview](http://www.utexas.edu/its/umbs/index.php)

I thought about the whole internal transfer thing and Idk…don’t wanna deal with it right now haha.

I have 43 hours that count as transferable apparently.
13 hours are AP credit. Cool thing is Mccombs doesn’t count credit-by-exam hours towards your total amount while Mays does, I believe.

So I will have 43 + 30 hours graded at A&M= 73
Hopefully I will make it to Mays :P

im in guys! found out today best of luck to you all! I have been denied to mays b4 so i know how crappy it feels…hang in there it will work!..
that letter writing campaign is still on blackag

For some reason, I don’t think it’ll be available until after the NSC which sucks. TAMU in all their wisdom mails some things there instead of our applicant emails when you sign up for certain services.

In the website it says:

“If admitted to Texas A&M and currently enrolled at another institution, at least a 2.0 GPR on coursework in progress during that semester (excluding summer terms) immediately prior to enrollment at Texas A&M is a condition of admission.”

So lame, I received a C in a course for missing a few classes and not participating.
Now my GPA for the semester is a 2.0
HA

Still havent heard… supposedly the letter was mailed the 19th, I only live 4 hours north…

did the letters come regular mail? or FedEx, UPS?

If you got accepted is it a big packet, or a small letter?

It’s a big packet if you’re accepted.

I’m still on step 3 a week after they supposedly made a decision for my application…

got my letter today. Its a big envelope. I live about 2 hours south.

Still on Step 3…any aero engineers figure out yet if they were accepted or not?

Finally got my app changed for summer. Looks like I’ll be attending the may 26-27 conference. Hopefully eng 112 does not fill up before next wed. 5 spots left.

Ampzor
I’ll post next week after the conference to let you know what the fall schedule will look like.

I haven’t received my letter yet either. It says it was mailed on the 19th but I do live in Georgia so maybe thats why its still not here.

jaden it has been 2 days haha be patient

I don’t know what’s going on. My letter hasn’t even been sent out according to my AIS. Nothing has changed and im still on step 3.
