yes… i too have a 2nd choice major on my AIS

anyone, who is still on step 3, has called admission office today ?

computer science advisor sent me email this morning telling me that he would look at my status and inform me about my admission decision, later in this week when the university open. I think university is closed right now…

Still on step 3…I emailed my department but no response. I’ll probably give them a call tomorrow.

Still on step 3 Mays.

Btw, I sent in spring grades. Under the documents tab on my AIS it says it received my “official college transcript” on 5/18 (my spring grades). However, a Tamu rep. told me a decision was made on my application on the 14th. So why am I still waiting? Maybe I was automatically denied for some reason and the decision was made that I should send in spring grades and I simply beat them to the punch.

Yep I’m still on step 3 also, even though a decision was made 5/14. A&M is seeming increasingly incompetent…

Inter89- Did it say a decision has been made on your AIS, or did a rep. tell you a decision was made?

A rep did when I called. She had no idea why I was still on step 3. This was a week ago and still nothing on my AIS. It really doesn’t seem like they care a whole lot.

Inter89 same hear. They simply don’t care that the applicants that they are dealing with are waiting anxiously for a decision. Many (like myself) are waiting for Tamu’s decision. This single decision whether good or bad will have a huge impact on our lives! If we were denied wouldn’t it make since that we would find out sooner rather than later so we can move on? I would be furious if I found out I was denied after waiting 5 MONTHS!!! This process has been unbearable and whether I get in or not I’m going to write a letter to Tamu admissions to let them know how untimely, unprofessional, and unorganized thier transfer admissions process has been to me and thousands of others.

All that agree say Amen!!!

Amen!!! I will probley help ya out on that letter campaign if I am denied with my spring grades in June.

for the ones who have to send in spring grades for reconsideration, have yall been told when we’ll find out the FiNAL decision? i’ve heard it’s sometime in july…

How’s it been 5 months? Application deadline was March 15. They didn’t evaluate any applications until after that date, and I thought OAR made that pretty clear. I received my decision in under two months. That’s about the same amount of time UT took. Deadline Jan 15 - decisions announced around April 15.

He’s just saying that if they end up considering his spring grades and wait until July to deny him it would be pretty horrible.

And it HAS already been two and a half months with no correspondence at all other than an acknowledgment of application letter. It wouldn’t surprise me if they started looking spring grades for reconsideration June 1 and took another month and a half after that to make final decisions.

I’m pretty ****ed that they tell me a decision was made two weeks ago but not only can’t they tell me what the decision was but they can’t even tell me WHEN they will send me the decision.

ampzor,
I talked to both ME advisers today and I was told even though classes are closed on howdy they will make room for the transfer students admitted for summer and fall. I’m gonna be taking Cal III and ENGR 111-112 during the summer. In the fall looks like MEEN 221-222, MATH 308 (diff eq), ECEN 215, and maybe CVEN 305. Its going to work out well for me. Hopefully when you get admitted it will work out too.

agfa - I sent in my app. on January 5th. So that means I’ve been waiting January, February, March, April, and now the end of May. Roughly 5 months or 146 freakin days!

This is the quote of the day: “They didn’t evaluate any applications until after that date, and I thought OAR made that pretty clear.” - agfa

First of all I knew that and second of all, when has anything that any person from Tamu admissions said ever been CLEAR?

I’m still not sure what I need to do to make sure my application is reconsidered, my spring grades arrived according to AIS. Who should I call to make sure they do it (Econ LA)? What should I expect my AIS to do? Go back to step 3?

And what are the realistic chances of getting accepted after I have been declined? 3.0 67 hours.

Splinter, I called L.A. after I was denied and found out they had my wrong GPA (I had a 3.0 but they had me down with a 2.84) so they told me to call admissions and they fixed it and emailed L.A. to tell them about the mistake and then they accepted me today. So I think you’ll have a really good chance, good luck!

^^^ wow. Who EXACTLY did you call, what was the number? What did you say?

Did they tell you over the phone you where excepted? How long till you were informed?

I’m in the same exact position as you… so I need all the details exact… lol

TAMU’s computer science department advisors are very good… they reply to ur email with few minutes… i emailed them twice and got replied withing few minutes… as far as step 3 is concerned… they told me they are still working on my application and hopefully they will have something soon …
