Admission for Transfer Student

this is a cruel wait…

1staero engr
2ndchem engr

all i know is each department will send out their acceptance at different time. it’s all depend on when the departments will schedule an internal meeting to review the transfer apps. good luck to all!!! as i will need it as well…[sigh]

I can’t get a straight consistent answer out of admissions. I called on Good Friday at 10:31 (refer to post #74) and got one answer and I called today at 12:45 p.m. and was told that all decisions are sent out at the same time and every transfer applicant decision should be sent between late April and mid May. By the way it was two different ladies who passed on the information to me. Maybe I’m not calling the right number isnt the admissions number (979) 458-0427 ? And then follow the options 235 or something like that.

I’m somewhat dissapointed in TAMU’s inconsistency. There should be one single uniformed response. I’m at my current school and I don’t know whether to start packing up my things in anticipation for Aggieland or just leave my stuff here for summer school and Fall 09.

No kidding man.
It’s actually pretty ridiculous.

I know the good classes will be full by the time we hear back.

Does anyone else here try and check their status today and it say AIS not working today? Is this a sign of decisions?!!?

I think we’ve checked it so much that they are tired of us logging on…lol.

For sure…

AIS is my homepage.

it’s weird, I don’t understand all day long it says AIS is temporarily unavailable…weird

We must have made the system crash! LOL. I dont know, maybe this is a sign that decisions have been made or are being made.

I’m definately calling if the AIS isn’t up by tommorow. I might have to disguise my voice because I called so much.

Did anyone apply for the transfer scholarship?

No, I thought your suppose to do that after your accepted.

I think you can do it before admission.
But the deadline is today!

I was gonna but, I don’t think I could write another essay.

yeah same here.
It would suck if you write and don’t get in…

Yeah… I wrote three essays for TU and from the looks of it, it was a total waste of time because I don’t even want to go there anymore lol… Thats what you get when your in autsin visiting friends and having them talk you into applying lol…

that post reminded me about the scholarship and I just wrote a quick essay and submitted it, I mean I guess it’s worth trying, it can’t hurt

Yeah, I also applied to Texas but don’t want to go there anymore.
I like A&M more :p

carchase11, how many paragraphs did you end up writing?

Three paragraphs, ~350 words. It said 8000 characters max, so my essay was probably well below what everyone else writes, but meh might as well. It’s short, but to the point

mcalvelloxx, I applied for that scholarship as well. I have 622 words on Essay A which came out to 3845 letters.

I just finished mine. Wow it was bad! Well, at least I tried you never know.
