Admissions Come out on Phone!

aahh e-mail?!?! I'm sure I'll just see the msg, tell myself I won't open it, and then open it 5 minutes later. sob it's too surreal...

o.O email? since when has stanford emailed decisions, except for internationals not living in the US/Canada?

I wonder if my mom will open it first. I hope not.

e-mail? Oh God please no.

I'd rather my mum open it (the email). [if she could actually read English and know how to check email]

but then I'm also the type who checks the SAT scores the day it's released in school during lunch.

I just want this to be over.

The "suspense" of mail? Doesn't Stanford put a big "CONGRATS" on your envelope if you're accepted? Talk about suspense...

^Haha, I never check SAT scores at school!!! It is like a tradition for me. I see it early in the morning right after waking up.

For Stanford email, I wonder if they are going to hint at the decision in the title of the email...that would suck...especially if you see it accidentally!

Did anyone call and find out when they're mailing decisions? (surely they'll send us a hard copy of our decisions, right?)

maverick- I have the same morning tradition, hehe

Per what they list in their viewbook and app, I think it's safe to assume that they will mail (postmark) letters on the 15th.

i posted this on an earlier thread but i know a girl who applied to stanford a couple of years ago and she called (and got accepted! i'm so jealous.). so i don't think you have to be outside of the US.

I am making a filter now to divert the mail from my inbox...

Too bad I'm not allowed to check my email at school, but maybe I'll do it secretly while the librarian has her head turned.

the emails will be sent after school on the fifteenth, at 5:00. just to make it even more suspenseful (and soo depressingly anti-climactic when i get the rejection) :(

at least that's what my college counselor told me after having breakfast with good ole rick shaw (that sounds too cool, i never have breakfast with anybody important).

^ whoa... btw how would the new guy and new methods change the decisions? any ideas?

so we're sure that emails are coming out? how do we know this?

If I get in, I'm streaking my neighborhood. Just a thought. If I get rejected, I'm getting dead drunk, then probably...streaking my neighborhood.

"...i never have breakfast with anybody important"

Well I never have breakfast. ;)

5:00 p.m. EST or PST?

I love breakfast...mm cereal

PST seems logical.

And I don't eat breakfast, either. But I do check my SAT scores RIGHT when I wake up.
