its much harder for out of state applicants, and lower than 30%.</p>
<p>I believe it's slightly under 30%, as they say the usually accept ~3000 students for the class, and last year they were like 10,600 applications.</p>
<p>It might drop a percentage point or two, but I doubt this year's would be that much lower than last year's.</p>
<p>The % out of state students might be increasing in the near future (with ther Charter program), though I doubt for this year.</p>

<p>the Charter Initiative was actively pursued by W&M, UVA, and VTech, and was passed by the Commonwealth last year. Essentially, the schools would be taking less money from the state, in exchange for more freedom. This would free up more state money for the other Virginia schools, and allow these 3 universities to individualize more.</p>
