Admit Weekend 2014

Marguerite is actually pretty good. You just need to learn the schedule for each route (which few people take the time to do).

The route map clearly labels a bus clockwise or counter clockwise.

That being said, supershuttle is the easiest way to get to and from the airport.

I highly recommend against taking public transit from the airport. You have to take the airport tram to the BART station first, then take BART one station north (because they stopped running trains that stop at both the airport and the Caltrain interchange), hop on BART in the other direction, change to Caltrain (and you will inevitably miss your train by one minute and have to wait for the next one), then once you get to campus, get on the Marguerite and take it wherever you’re going. By the time you arrive, you’ll be exhausted. Supershuttle is worth the ~$30.

Thanks, everyone. Supershuttle it will be.

Next question about admit weekend. Would a carry-on with a change of clothes and extra shirt be enough for a guy?

@ speckledegg- You’ll probably want to bring a sleeping bag as well. (I don’t know how big your carry-on bag is). It really depends how long you’re staying (the full 2.5 days, in that case, I’d recommend bringing another change of clothes).

Thanks, skyraptor. Sleeping bag, duh, certainly helpful.
It’s my son who’ll be there, not moi.
