As the title says, I am wondering if it is possible to change my major from Pre-Soc. I am really interested in International Development as my major instead. I am still awaiting Berkeley’s decision before I go ahead with anything, but if I can get into the ID program at UCLA, that may be the deciding factor.
The same question for Cal. If I get in, it will be as a Soc major, but I am truly interested in Social Welfare and International Development.
I was also accepted to UCD as a Community and Regional Development major. I am excited about that program and other opportunities that the university offers, but I really cannot stand the campus or its surroundings.
What is keeping me from accepting UCLA’s offer is the ability to change my major at the school. I have great hopes for Cal too, but honestly I don’t think Sociology is what I want to focus my academics on. If I were accepted to Cal, I really don’t know where I would go. EVen at this point with UCLA and UCD having accepted me, I can’t decide between the two.
