ADMITTED STUDENTS: What was your UC GPA?

I want to see if anybody is even near near my whopping 3.93 (assuming I get straight A's this semester). Not to mention my scanty ECs. Girl Scouts of America, Gay-Straight Alliance, a job as a counselor at Girl Scout camp this summer, NHS. No volunteer work at all because I believed the hospital would get back to me in a decent timeframe for that application I mailed in September.

Oh, and I joined ACLU this year. But I don't know if that even counts

haha at CC, 3.93 is nothing my friend. If you wanted your self-esteem to drop, you came to the right place where stats are concerned :P

I know. I guess I'm into self torture :(

i got in with a 3.88/3.9 i believe

Caliplay---class of 2011? or 2010? I was wondering 'cause I thought no one heard till April. Also, are these GPAs unweighted? or weighted?

UC. If they cared about weighted, I'd be happy because I have like a 4.4. I know I'd have a MUCH better shot if I was in state but c'est la vie, I guess.

is it possible to have a 4.4....

well, yes....

grades 10 and 11, only 8 extra points max for honors/ap classes and no thinkgs like PE and stuff thats not uc approved?

that's UC GPA, yes. 4.4 is my high school's weighted, adding an extra point for each honors/AP class

4.37 Uc Gpa

4.29 weighted UC ...something like a 3.8 uw or a 3.7

haha heres some hope: 3.95W/3.77UW, 2 sports and a one summer job. I made cal engineering for civil, but i did have pretty high test scores...

4.21 UC GPA;

"This semester's grades" don't get added into your UC GPA if you just applied... UC's only use 10th and 11th grades.

sarbiee,
my son was accepted last year to berkeley with a 3.85 high school gpa. but i think the UC's do look a different high schools differently(they know that some high schools are more rigorous than others). my son was also taking a math class at UCB (I don't know if they looked at his grades for the first semester at UCB before decisions were made). he also had very focused ec's. He decided on another college (he'd done 3 courses at UCB and felt like he'd been there, done that). In the end I really believe that you'll get accepted at the school thats right for you. Good luck.

I know, I'm a junior

UC GPA was 4.14.

Oh sry, i'm in the class of 2010

I have about 3.89 UW now, about 4.2 weighted. :( I'm applyig this year.

Applying this year with a UC GPA 4.31, but that's because non-honors/AP classes lowered it (more work = lower GPA = GPA is stupid).

It doesn't matter though because Berkeley uncaps the GPA and takes into account more than 8 AP/honors semesters.
