Advice on Books for CH 117-002

This is actually johnr441’s Daughter using his profile but I’m at a loss for what to do about these Chem Books. The University Supply store has never had them in stock and even though they give the ISBNs there are no websites that carry them Used or New. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

What is your question? Are you asking whether you should buy these books? Where to get them? If they’re needed?

To get the best answer, send an email to the prof. If you don’t know how to get a prof’s email, I’ll show you how.

I see that your prof is John Vincent. Dr. Dixon’s class also uses the same books.

I would email both profs and ask about those books.

thanks so much!

Johnr441: I know someone who had Dr. Vincent in the spring. I’ll check and see if she has the books. If they are the same, perhaps she will sell them to you.

that would be wonderful. thanks for checking on this.

I took Dr. Vincent’s section of Honors Chem last fall; the course used University Chemistry by Peter Siska. There is only one edition of the book, as the author died after writing the first edition. The book’s a little tough to find, but I’d go to Bookfinder.com and search there. For what it’s worth, I was able to buy a used copy last year for around $30, and I’d assume prices have fallen a bit from last year.
