i don't know why i took spanish. i'm not even good at it...and i got 490 in it. do you think it will affect my chances because i have to send all of my subject tests to UC? the other 2 tests i took are decent scores.

just a quick question..thanks.

ps. i'm pretty sure i'm not going into the top UC so just the middle ones like irvine, LA and SD. davis..would it affect it that much?

Lol, but in all seriousness I don’t think Spanish will be such a detrimental factor in your application. Spanish really isn’t a big deal, so good luck!

UCLA is not a mid-tier UC. It’s the second highest ranked public school(right under UCB).

I’m in a very similar situation(550 in lit) as you actually I send my scores w/o knowing what I was doing.
My suggestion would be to take another test that you can do better in, and hope they ignore the lowest score.

I just got my scores back for three Subject Tests and going in I was worried because I plan to apply to a few schools that don’t accept Score Choice and I was taking the Lit Test on a whim. I talked to my guidance counselor, basically, you only need to send in ALL scores for the tests you want them to see. Therefore, if you want to show them a 700 in US History, but you took it before you need to show both scores. But for your Spanish, you don’t need to send it in if you don’t have a good score to show. That is how she explained it to me.

The World History score is okay (top 13%) but the chem grade sucks. The chem grade is slightly below average(around 58% scored above you). I think because of the lenient chem curve, colleges want mid to high 700s.
