Am I a Failure?

I graduated high school with a B- GPA and my SAT scores are 1350, my High School messed up my schedule and I only have 3 math credits. I applied to schools but I had to do schools with rolling admission because I was making one final math credit. I got into a few schools but due to the late admission I may not be able to get the loans in time. I really wanted to get out of state but unless the lone goes through I can't attend a University or College out of State. I have heard horror stories about the community colleges in Florida and I am not sure what are the actual facts are even after talking to the colleges. I feel like if I go to a community college I am also going to be look down upon and things of that nature. In the future I plan on obtaining my degree in Nursing and specializing in anesthesiology or another field (Im not 100% sure about my master yet). I also have heard if I stay two years in a community I cannot do ROTC when I transfer into a two year is that true? What is the actual truth about going to a community college can I transfer out after a semester or a year or do I have to wait the two years? Can anyone help?

I think even if you go to a school that’s maybe not that great , your still going to get out what you put in. If you work your but off and have a 4.0 after 2 years and did some summer work in hospitals and such I think you’ll be good. Good luck!

UNF is still accepting applications.

Community college is usually what you make of it. I have seen people take a few classes and then fizzle out. I have also see some people go on after CC to further their schooling and become very successful. I say go for it, but first just check to ensure that the credits will transfer to whatever school you want to ultimately end up at. Good luck!

No. You are not a failure, you are just trying to figure out life.

You can transfer form a CC any time. You just need to have an academic record that is good enough to get into the school of your choice. CC students are not looked down upon if they are serious. For many it is a financial necessity to go to CC first.

I had a 2.7 GPA in highschool, then went to CC for 2 years and really focused. In my two years I got 17 A’s and 1 B. I got accepted at Berkeley and UCLA. Anything is possible as long as you have the determination and want to work hard to achieve your goals.

Just want to say it again, no. You are not a failure, you are just trying to figure out life.
