Am I accepted or not?

…whoops

I think it means that they didn’t actually send the email to every applicant and that the twitter people are wrong…

But you’ll get in SwimmerMan11, don’t worry. I’m hearing now that the decisions are going to be put on the portal tomorrow at 3PM… but I thought it was Friday/13th any time.

Supposedly, Fordham sent that email to all Early Action applicants. Yet, that does not make sense since I did not receive one. Real strange…

According to one tweet someone said they called and the person said they send the letter to everyone who applied early action…very confused now as to what is going on. If that is true, they did make a big mistake.

Thank you SeasonsOfLove!!! And a mighty good luck to everyone who applied and are anxiously waiting for the final decision.

My friend applied for EA before me and still didn’t get it.

Your friend didn’t get any sort of email? And did you?

They can’t do that, though. If it was a mistake, they have to send an email by today. AT LEAST by tomorrow morning before this 3 PM decision. It looks bad on their part if they sent those emails to everyone.

They definitely did not send those emails to everyone. They probably said that as a way to cover up the admissions decision from denied / deferred applicants.

@seasonsofLove. I got an email, but he didn’t get one.

Doing some internet research, it seems like one college screws up and accidentally send false acceptance letters to students. Is Fordham 2013’s accidental college?

A bit positive though… the college usually responds with a quick apology. It has been about 5 hour and no formal apology from Fordham yet.

im upset how they sent the email at 4:58 and I called them to follow up and their office of Undergraduate Admissions was closed.

@SeasonsOfLove that’s what I’m saying. I’m giving them until tomorrow morning when I’ll know they’ll be open. If they send no apology and it does happen to be a sham, then they are going to receive A LOT of slack from this, and no college wants that.

The guidance counselor was not at the school event tonight! Ugh! So, we shall wait and see!

this is according to fordham’s website:
To receive an early award notification, you must submit your FAFSA through our Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) completion service with our trusted partner Student Aid Services (SAS). Admitted students who fill out the FAFSA through the services will receive an early award estimate in a Personalized Information Packet.

We will notify you via e-mail and hard copy mail when you can begin this process.

If you miss the filing deadline or would prefer not to use the service, you may use the Regular Decision FAFSA & CSS Profile filing option and receive a financial aid package by April 1.

That’s what I found too. It says admitted students will be notified when to file, so I assume those who got the email are admitted… ??

I hate the confusion especially regarding a freaking college haha

I got the FAFSA letter today, and just now an official “Oops” email.

Nice.

I GOT THE EMAIL!

Dear Mina,
Today you received an email from our partner Student Aid Services (SAS) congratulating you on your admission to Fordham. This is not how we planned to communicate this important information to you but we are excited to affirm the news nonetheless.

Your official offer of admission will be available December 12th at 3:00 p.m. EST through your Online Applicant Portal. In addition, your admission packet will arrive in the mail shortly.
It says admission decisions will be available online at 3pm EST tomorrow Dec 12.

This is what my son got:
We regret that the FAFSA completion and early award program email you received this evening from our partner Student Aid Services (SAS) erroneously congratulated you on your admission to Fordham. We are very sorry for the misinformation and any confusion this may have caused. Please disregard that communication; it is not an accurate reflection of your admission status.
