Dear You:
We regret that the FAFSA completion and early award program email you received this evening from our partner Student Aid Services (SAS) erroneously congratulated you on your admission to Fordham. We are very sorry for teh misinformation and any confusion this may have caused. Please disregard that communication; it is not an accurate reflection of your admission status.

Your admission status will be available December 12th at 3:00 pm EST. Please access your decision by logging into your Online Applicant Portal.

Again, I sincerely apologize for this error and any confusion it has caused.

Sincerely,
John W. Buckley

Today you received an email from our partner Student Aid Services (SAS) congratulating you on your admission to Fordham. This is not how we planned to communicate this important information to you but we are excited to affirm the news nonetheless.

I think it is awful what they did! I know it was a mistake, but my son was so happy and now he is so sad…and po’d! As am I!
Congratulations to everyone who got in…it’s a great school!
And to those who didn’t…remember…everything works out like it’s supposed to!

My friend and I live in California and we haven’t recieved any emails at all today… what do you suppose this means?? Wait list? Deferred? Rejected? Possibly just chance that we didnt get an accidental email? Really confused right now…

So I’m assuming if we didn’t get the “affirmed” version of the whoops email we got rejected??
Couldn’t affordham anyway lol, currently shifting hope to SUNY bing.

Unfortunately, I received the error email. I am really, very upset and embarrassed. I told a lot of people that I got in… I don’t even want to got to school today. This was horrible and I am just beside myself.

This is such a mess. How unprofessional. Truly am sorry for those who received the “erroneous” email and congratulations to those who received the “accepted” email.

Yes, their decisions will be released at 3 pm eastern time. In my opinion, there is no reason to be worried if you didn’t receive either email or if you only received one. They probably send the emails in waves by regions and your region was probably caught when they realized their mistake. Only 8 more hours for an official decision!

I’m super confused because I didn’t receive the first email, just the error one. I feel like they would have to send the error email to everyone regardless because… Well it’s an error. And even those who called admissions didn’t get a straight answer. The email is also important because it clarifies decisions will be online at 3 (to answer your question). I’m just so confused!
