Wow, this is a mess! My DD applied EA with the fee waiver and didn’t receive either email. We decided to wait to complete the SAS application. Did anyone receive emails yesterday that did not complete the Financial Aid application?

What a mess!

My DD applied EA as well and has received no emails but 2 of her friends received the first email. What a shame that these kids who are already stressed out now have to deal with even more uncertainty. Actually glad my daughter has not heard anything yet…I feel sorry for those who were told they were in who may not actually be in after all. Shameful.

It is just a time killer for them ( the 3p release) to escape the justified responses that they know are coming. Like you I am now questioning the whole picture that is being represented here. Look they will probably just defer most of this group … to simply buy time that’s all- holding people off until April. The burden and responsibility of all of this falls on Fordham, nobody else. Look Fordham employed this company and by their own words call them “a partner.” Fordham decided who was EA accepted and supplied that information accordingly. Fordham you did it now take responsibilty for your actions.

So if you haven’t received any emails does that mean you were denied? I assume if your name wasn’t sent to the financial aid company - there was a reason for that. No need to apply for aid if you were denied admission.

@sportsboo that’s why I don’t understand why there were two different emails after the initial “mistake” to make it seem like certain people were being offered admission right then and others like myself still have to wait for a decision. Because some people didn’t receive the email at all

I did not get any of the emails. Did this happen to anyone else? Is this a bad sign?

@georgetown14, I live in Mississippi, you? Hope we get in. :)

@jackerman Yes, it looks like there were a number of us who didn’t receive either email.

Relax. Every year this happens. I didnt say it was a mistake. I pondered the question. My kid got early email advice by RD decision in 2007. I dont know if Fordham advises everyone by email early or not. And no clue who gets the advice and who doesnt.

You will hear by regular mail in writing regardless: accepted, deferred, denied.

Good luck to all.

@abrown I’m from the east coast! Hope we both get good news too!

So after looking around at the various threads on here and posts on twitter it doesn’t seem like they have a standard way of letting people know they are accepted. Some have received snail mail packages with their aid amount included, some got the apology email with affirmation that they were indeed accepted and some were accepted weeks ago. Makes no sense but then gives us a little hope. This is not my daughter’s first choice so no love loss but it is her first college decision and I was hoping it would be a more pleasant experience.

97 more minutes to go.

@bostonlass65 I’m from Kentucky, and like your daughter, Fordham is also my top choice. I didn’t receive any of the e-mails. I am really stressing out. On the other hand, because of this slip up, I have lost a lot of respect for Fordham.

Oh I’m sorry - Fordham is not my daughter’s first choice, Boston College is. Then Northeastern. So, we won’t cry about it but it will be a little disappointing. Good luck!

I did not apply for financial aid. Could that be why I did not get any of the emails. It just seems odd that I did not even get the one that said decision would come out today.

I’m so grateful I had time to check this forum today in class, otherwise I wouldn’t know that they had moved it up a day! Everyone I know here has been freaking out about their acceptance into VA Tech so it would have been unbearable to wait a whole extra day!

67 minutes to go (:

I do not think it means anything if you did not receive any email. There were 24 students from our school that applied. Only 4 received emails and only 3 of them received follow up emails. Many that heard nothing are students who have Fordham on their list as a safety. No rhyme or reason to the notifications.

@amtd55aol Oh, okay. That is calming news. I am from Kentucky and I’m the only one in my class that applied to Fordham, so I had no one to compare against. Less than an hour until we all know for sure!

Less than a hour to go . . . Go RAMS! Good luck everyone.

My daughter is at school incommunicado.
I dont know which,if any, emails she got.

I guess we will find out in 45 mins.

Or not! The website might crash, everyone trying to login at the same time…
