Bump Please I need help!

Hi pinkpokadot07, i believe that with your scores and GPA JHU, Tufts, GWU and Boston College are off table, but if you retake the ACT and get 30+ and write a good essay you will have good chance because your EC’s are very good and i believe you may have a good hook(i hope you have overcome your cancer situation); you stand a decent chance at BU and University of Connecticut and your likely to be accepted at the University of Vermont.Best of luck.
Chance me back if you can:

Can people take into consideration that I plan to get at least a 29 on the ACTs and use that instead of the 24?

BUMP… come on, someone help

You’re pretty far below the average GPA/ACT score at American Univ, Boston College, JHU, NYU, NEU, Tufts, and UR. If you do well when you retake the ACT, you probably have a good/semi-good shot at Boston Univ, Fordham Univ, GWU, UConn, and Univ. Vermont. (Univ. Vermont being your best chance out of all of these, followed probably by UConn.)

Your extracurriculars look great, this will be a major plus wherever you’re applying. What about your SAT and AP scores, though? This would be very helpful in chancing.

At any rate, I would strongly suggest that you narrow it down to one or two of your reach schools (first list), focus more on the schools from the second list, and then look for more colleges that are moderately/minimally selective. If you know what programs you’re thinking about and/or what sort of social environment you’d like to have, this can help in narrowing down.

Best of luck! :)

(P.S. – I’m almost certain that the places you’re applying to will give you a reasonable amount of leeway on the ACT scores. Just be sure to explain it to them, either in writing or in the interview.)

I agree with Consigliere and personally I won’t chance people with hypothetical scores unless they have something to back that score up with (for example a recent PSAT). With your current ACT several schools are off your list, retake the ACT and come back. Also I recommend taking some subject tests.

Any other opinions?

Rasseru77 I got an email from Fordham saying that they would like me to apply and offered me a free application, and scholarship consideration if I did since I was above in stats from what they wanted. Also, my GPA matches perfectly for NYU, NEU, and GWU, so I don’t know where you are getting your information from. I used Naviance to match these schools with my GPA.

Your resume is spectacular in terms of ECs. However, your GPA and standardized texting scores are somewhat low compared to the averages of the schools to which you are applying. I would definitely try to raise them as much as possible, but be sure to explain your situation in your essay or to you counselor.

Chance me please?!

Thanks^. That helped

Get a 30+ and its a very realistic apart from schools such as Tufts, Rochester, NYU, JHU and BC. Good luck!
