'Achieve at least a 3.0 GPA (weighted) in your senior year UC "a-g" coursework and be in good standing in your last term. '

That's what the conditions of admission say..I pulled a 3.0 my senior year overall, which is what they need, but last term my gpa dropped to a 2.6 because I failed my physics final and got a C in the class. I don't have any Ds or Fs though...just too many Cs.

I'm already upset as it is, so no need to tell me how badly I messed up. And I can't go talk to my teacher because he's not at school anymore...What do I do?

it’s cool physics raped my GPA too as long as your overall weighted is 3.0 and you have no D’s you’re good to go

Are you sure? I thought that ‘good standing’ meant that the last term gpa couldn’t go below a 3.0…?

Thank you for replying!

it helps to call the admissions office to explain your situation…

if it helps, they generally dont rescind unless it’s really bad, but you do want to be pretty convincing when they ask why (you will be notified to provide an explanation)

I wanted to steel myself before calling if it was going to be bad news for me, since I have a tendency to cry on the phone, bleh.
And my only explanation is that I just don’t understand physics no matter what I do, but that’s a terrible explanation.

Anyway, I’ll call them tomorrow and cross my fingers…Thanks, it does help a little

I think a C in a class like Physics won’t be a deal breaker… they will recognize that it’s a hard class. It’s when you start failing classes you should worry.
