So do you think they let in community college transfers with a gpa below 3.0?

I have everything required for TAG, but unfortunately I took O-chemistry at UCSD through cross enrollment and got a c-(bad semester..gf broke up w/ me blah blah blah) so my gpa dropped to a 2.91 thus voiding my tag.

I do have Igetc though and I have everything done to give me "priority admission for california community college students".

Should I just write off UCSD? I mean I feel like I might as well not even get my hopes up or do you guys think I might have a shot?

This is why I advise all my fellow college students (& ESPECIALLY high school students) against entering a romantic relationship of any sort until our path/direction in life is set in stone.

I don’t think he meant set in stone as in unchanging, but just well on your way to being on the path you want to be on. I could be mistaken though.

They don’t list cognitive science, but for bio, i’d guess you are around a 40 percent. Cognitive science seems like it would be around there or or even better.

And… i’m not sure how much stuff besides major prep and gpa matter at UCSD, but having a parent work there has to count for something, right?.

All told, i’d guess you would have about a 50-60% chance of getting in.

You’d actually mean Dad, and you’re welcome

P.S. I just noticed the epigram you put under your “Location.” Not to sound like a religious fundamentalist–I’m far from one–but I have to say that I don’t find it funny at all.

Why joke about something like that when its reality is so stark? And the number of date rapes/other assaults on women is only rising as of late. Your joke does everything but help this plight. :(

Religious fundamentalists are often considered pleasureless beings very concerned with obeying rules. I made the disclaimer in my post to girlyshout in hope that she wouldn’t think I was a fundamentalist since I said I didn’t find her joke funny.
