Am I screwed out of math placement?

I took the AP Calculus AB exam, and I didn't think I did so well. I might have gotten a 1, 2, or 3... I honestly don't know and can't tell by the way I did, and I won't know until the third week of July. Now I do know that if I don't get at least a 3, I will have to take the math placement exam. But I don't know what score I got, so just to play it safe, I thought I should sign up for the placement exam. The problem is that it's too late, the last one was on June 28 and registration is now closed.

Will I just have to pray that I got a 3? If I got a 1 or a 2, AND I missed the placement exam, how will I take math next year?

If you get a 2, you get automatic placement into calculus.

Oh cool, no credit but placement into a class I already passed. Well, not bad I guess. Could be much worse. But what if I got a 1? I remember answering like half the multiple choice, and then really having no idea what to do on the free response. Although I wouldn't like to think I got a 1, I would at least like to prepare for the worst.

Also, is it true that some people have gotten their AP scores already? I requested my scores be sent to UW, but they still haven't updated on their site yet. I thought it was the third week of July. Anyway, here's the link:

Do you live near UW? They still provide the walk-in math placement tests, although they don't have any scheduled tests available. They're available M, Th, and F at 10:30AM, T at 1:30PM, and W at 3:00PM.

I actually took it today, and got my score immediately- I'm placed into math 120 and I may retake it in two weeks.

I still don't have my AP exam score either if that makes you feel better. =)

They have ongoing placement tests so just contact the testing center. As for the AP scores, you can wait until you get them back before registering for a math class.

Wow, never mind guys. I got a 3 on the AP Calculus AB exam! Now what math course would that place me into? I realize I get to skip one quarter of calculus, does that mean the class has some review of what I learned in high school last year?

^ That would place you into Math 125.

I'm a little confused. So if my daughter scored a (very surprising) 5, how would she be placed? Whatever comes after Math 125?

I don't get it either. So I'm getting different answers here. A 3 or 4 is Math 124, and a 5 is Math 125?

The way I'm reading the UW website, you get placed into 124 for a 3 or a 4. You actually get credit for 125 if you score a 5. I think. It's not perfectly apparent from their website.

^ No. Let me break it down:

A 2 gets you PLACEMENT into Math 124.
A 3 or a 4 gets you CREDIT for Math 124, and thus, placement into Math 125
A 5 gets your credit for Math 124 and Math 125. Placement would be Math 126.

Thank you for that clarification!
