Congrats! When were you admitted/when was your application completed? Also, how did you receive your decision?
@coprice I completed me application around the last week of February…like the 22nd or something. I received my decision in late March via mail.
Hi y’all! I got my acceptance to the School of Public Affairs for Political Science on March 30th or so, after having sent my app in on March 6th.
Question for others who have been accepted: the packet says that the decision is due by 2 weeks after the decision letter sent, but I can’t make the decision without getting my package from finaid. I’m considering calling and asking for an extension on the decision deadline.
Is there anything else I can do/would this hurt me in any way?
I want to keep my spot but I need my financial aid decision before I decide (and I’m waiting for decisions from other schools with different decision release dates).

@Arinix Hey, did you fill out fafsa/css after priority deadline or before? I filled both of mine before the priotity deadlines and then called admissions and they said as long as they were in then my financial aid will b same
Did those who got in write their college transfer essay like the first year college essay with a story and all?
@igotsunshine111 That two-week deadline is essentially a recommendation, they understand that you’re potentially applying to other universities and still waiting for financial aid. The financial aid information should be out by mid-May. I also had these questions and this is what I was told by an admissions rep and a financial aid officer.

I’m in at Boston University, American, and SMU now…but waiting on Northeastern, UVA, and USC. So I have no clue what I’m doing yet! I hope you have more good luck with the college process!!
I’m waiting to hear back on my financial aid. I’m ready to submit all my deposits, I just need to know what kind of aid I will get. They send it out mid may, you say?
@coprice Yeah, I am awaiting at least three more decision that aren’t supposed to come until May 15th. Yeah you to! I heard BU is amazing!
@Arinix Yes, I think it is in May. I just e-mailed my admissions officer to ask because I still have some decisions pending.
@pkin9999 I was accepted to spa and I actually didn’t write my common app essay like a first year essay, with a slice of life story and all. Although mine did have a lil bit of narrative, just of my emotional process of deciding to transfer over the year, I focused more on the reason why I was at my current institution and then the reasons I wanted to transfer out, mostly based in academic rigor etc.
For me personally if I did one of the spice of life types I felt it wouldn’t get the transfer issues across for me

And update, has anyone heard anything slightly more concrete about the financial aid decision releases? Also will they be sent through snail mail or will they be on the my au portal?
