Amherst College Regular Decision 2018

I read the past posts but no one said that they have pending for final transcript. If someone actually does have pending maybe that could be a sign because mine is just blank

On the “My Amherst” page, wondering if anyone/everyone has this showing:

“2014: Application Complete, 2014: Award Info Available
The current requirements for your 2014 aid application are complete.
A financial aid determination has been made. You may review your awards.”

Can’t find a link to review any award, just a list of everything financial aid- related and that wording - wondering if it’s a positive sign or standard for everyone?

which part of my amherst page did you find that? I believe you are in congratulations!

@Rampions: Do you see your documents as received till now? Did you already submit your tax returns for 2013?

@hotspurs It was on the My Amherst / Profile / Academic page, which, when fully loaded shows a My Financial Aid section. The last few words of it say “You may review your awards” and when you click on that it takes you to the financial aid documents received page - but nothing yet on mine showing any award yet - just a list of financial aid documents received. @ashleymartin I hadn’t checked it in awhile, but all documents are showing as received and yes, 2013 tax returns were submitted - about two weeks ago.

@rampions… congratulations… You are in…:)

Aghh… My daughter has the Final Highschool Transcript portion added… I imagine it is easier to update the system to require that for all applicants. She DOESN"T have the “You may review your awards” mentioned above. The “My Interests” tab has been there since the beginning!

In the my Academic Page for me only these things are coming ":

Secondary School Name:
Secondary School Location:
Secondary School Country:

I dont have a FA section at all.

@Rampions : Is your My financial aid section below the Three sentences abovee (Secondary School Name…) ??

^ mine is the same. No announcements under the academic tab. Hope that’s not a bad sign though…

Here’s the URL that’s showing: https://www.amherst.edu/myamherst/profile/personal</a> and it’s under Home - My Amherst - My Profile - and directly above the “My Interests” listings which others have mentioned and seen, there is another section called My Financial Aid, and under that it says this: 2014: Application Complete, 2014: Award Info Available. There was a link to it sent in an email months ago - so check your emails for a link to Financial Aid.

And I’m definitely not convinced of anything at this stage - would be great news, but I think it’s premature to presume anything - especially as people seem to be having difficulty finding this whole section.

I do not have any financial aid messages :’( So Disappointed :(

*** MODERATOR’S NOTE: Links to photos, or anything other than authoritative websites, are not permitted on CC.

GUYS STOP WITH THE RAMPANT SPECULATION WHEN YOU HAVE NO LEGITIMATE BASIS TO MAKE SUCH CLAIMS. Not only is it causing you guys to get upset, but it could very well be untrue. So stop with the congratulations until someone gets a “We’re glad to offer you admission” letter, and stop with the crying until you get a letter of rejection or waitlist status.

On another note, does anyone know if we can track which financial documents Amherst has received?

@nhdmaniac yes you can - go to financial aid and you can log in using your same login and password - all the info is there for you. This is NOT myamherst and NOT the admissions portal.

sorry this is easier amherst.edu/go/netpartner

@soccerfan14 Thanks. I don’t know why I didn’t get an email or anything linking to this.

I have “not received” for the student tax return. I don’t have a job/file taxes, so does the non-tax filers statement for the student cover that or am I missing some form?

I have no idea - I never got a link to this either but found it the other day and tried my login. My FA stuff isn’t received because my parents can’t file their taxes until April (they need some form that comes then to do so), so I won’t know anything because all of my FA statuses at all my schools are incomplete.

I never applied for financial aid so I don’t really have anything

My IDOC packet was made available on March 12, but my parents’ tax returns/W-2s are still showing up as not received. Should I be concerned? :s

I’m not entirely sure, but I think the college will be able to make a decision solely based on the CSS and if they accept you, they’ll ask for other tax return documents afterwards.

@slothz Since Amherst is need-blind, your income will have no impact on admissions. In other words, if you get rejected, it won’t be because they haven’t received your IDOC. If you get accepted, they’ll just ask you for the documentation if it hasn’t reached them yet, and they should be able to give you a financial aid package within a couple of days. Since they don’t have a specified Financial Aid budget, as need-aware schools do, your need-based award should not be harmed in any way.
