AMSCO vs. Spark Notes

I have the AMSCO book and wanted to finish the whole thing by this Friday (I have SAT2 this Saturday) and I've barely started...should I read the Spark Notes online SAT2 USH book which I think is more condensed or try and cram in all of AMSCO?

bump.......

both suck

get REA if you can

Try to read as much AMSCO as possible. Do practice tests on SparkNotes and REA. Just a reminder that REA has a lot of useless information.

chronic just mad

juventus read book all day

Does REA have accurate practice tests?

haha, I'm in the same position as you. I'm on chapter 11 of 30 in the AMSCO book, and it takes me about a half an hour per chapter. But I have tomorrow off, so that'll be like major study time. I'd say go with AMSCO if you can...

yeah, REA tests are MUCH harder than the real thing, either SAT II or AP. I took a practice AP and SAT exam and got a 76 on one and a 85 on the other, whereas I have yet to surpass a 62 on any REA test.

Last year, I did even worse with Euro and REA...I never left the 50s, yet on the day of the test I knew (with 100% certainty) the answer to 75+ questions.

AMSCO is good though. I'm using it for all of the post 1945 stuff since we haven't covered it yet.

Rant****
Everyone in my class (except for me) cheats on every exam...take last exam (1945 - 52) for example...many 80s to 100s...whereas I got a 68 (LOL!) and everyone knows I am one of the strongest students in the class (I mean, I studied this stuff the summer before)...but those Pageant tests ask little details I DOUBT would show up one the AP Exam/SAT II and since I dont have much time to study right now for them (I have other APs to worry about) I ended up with miserable grades on the last two (73 and 68)...I guess I'm gonna suffer for my excess pride, but oh well.
/end rant

has anyone tried the sparknotes notecards?

they seem to be really useful for me....
