An average student here needs help!!! UCSB vs Texas Vs ???

I am a californian freshman of University of San Francisco but I want to transfer out to a good public and diverse university. My GPA is 3.5. I am taking accounting as my major. Is it better to go UCSB or to Texas A & M univeristy or some other east universities for accounting program? And wat are my chances? Or is there any recommendations of public universities? I am wondering is it harder to meet/know people when if I enter the UCs in a junior standing? Thank you in advance.

You might get into Santa Barbara since they give priority to CA transfer students. I can't really advise as to which school to choose, since I know nothing of Texas A & M but SB is such a beautiful school, not to mention you will have fun there. I think it kind of has the best of both worlds--great education and a great social life.

Hope that helps and good luck to you!

sb for accounting is top notch. my dad worked for deloite and he told me they selected tons of accountants out of college from ucsb.
