I am so confused! Please help me.

I am a freshman of University of San Francisco but I want to transfer out to a good public and diverse university. My GPA is 3.5. I am not so sure where i can go because I am taking accounting as my major. I found out that most of the UCs dont have accounting as a major but UCSB and UCR have an emphasis in accounting. I am wondering is it harder to meet/know people when if I enter the UCs in a junior standing? My preference is to keep my major and to stay in California, but if there is no choice, I am also thinking of going to university of texas- austin or texas a & m univeristy. But i heard rumours that there are a lot of prejudiced against miniorities in texas. Or is there any recommendations of public universities? I know i am asking a lot but I just want to know what are the options for me. Thank you.

I'm at UC Santa Cruz and while we don't have an "accounting" major we do have business management economics. That being said, it's a mix of economics (such as intermediate micro and macro, econometrics, finance, etc.) and accounting classes. The big four firms recruit heavily here as well. While UCSD does not have accounting, UCSB, UCLA, and Berkeley do. However, with all those programs you will have to take a good number of economics and finance classes to complete the majors.
