I'm not sure on my these GPA's but they should be close
freshmen:3.3
sophmore:3.5
junior:3.2
all unweighted
somewhere in the top 20%
ACT composite:32
I might take it again and taking SAT II's this fall.
Then there's the one thing that makes me not look good on applications and that is no EC's at all.

No Ivy League for you.

Wow, you must go to a ****ty school if you're top 20% with a 3.33. ECs (or lack there of) are gonna kill you. I doubt youll have any chance at anything besides a 2nd rate state school.

ouch...no EC's...nothing at all....well with that GPA and ACT you could have gotten in some good schools but now im actually not sure

Penn State U Park is a safe match or a safety for you. Putting down your ECs is optional, the scores are good for them, and the GPA is decent. Most good schools will be difficult for you because of the lack of ECs, but I would definitely recommend Penn State.

there arent very many people in my graduating class only around 100 so the top 10% is the top ten people and they all have above a 4.0 then it just kind of drops off after them. but anyways what if i can raise my ACT scores because i know i can get higher than a 32. the math section screwed me because i didnt realize my calculator wasn't working right until halfway through.

let me tell you one thing my brother got accepted into UF (ranked number 50 and going up)

His stats:

like 3.8 weighted high school and 3.8 weighted at community college
His sat's were only 1150 (v+math)

NO EC"S

Legacy and resident

I forgot about something i could use as an EC but that is only if i do it and it is an internship at NASA. I don't even know if i can do it yet. i recently found out i have a relative that works there and he mentioned something about it.
and also what about chances for drexel?

sorry for the triple post but i didn't want to start a new thread just to ask where would a perfect score on the ACT or SAT take someone with no EC's and a 3.3 GPA?

Not necessarily true, guys. A kid in my school (granted, he had a 4.0 and was 3/130) got into Middlebury with $40,000 financial aid with absolutely no EC's.

my GPA is a little higher than i thought it was, it might not help but it is 3.63.

weighted or unweighted?

unweighted. i'm not sure what it weighted. should be a little higher i guess.

ok weighted is 3.8 if that helps.

i don't trust the princeton review counselor-o-matic because it has colleges that i know i have no chance of getting into as good matches.

alright another question, though i may have already asked it, but hey who wants to read page one anyways? on to the question, what would be my chances at drexel?

and out of the darkness came a voice, silent at first but steadily growing louder. what did it say you ask. the voice said "b...," now i warn you that you may not like what you are about hear, or read rather, the voice, it said, "BUMP."

sorry i couldn't resist. just saying bump isn't enough, so i thought i'd be creative.

oops didn't mean for the triple post.

So you have 3.8W and 32ACT.....you have nothing to worry about. People on hear are stupid and Ec's are definately not everything.

Just go to collegeboard matchmaker put in what you want and look at the schools that come up. Then you can decide if those schools are reaches, matches, or safeties by comparing your stats.

EC's may benefit people, but honestly I don't think that will be the deciding factor on if you will get in or not.

thank you socal18. i think i will do what you said. and just as a warning to everyone there may be more, even stranger bumps in the future.(insert maniacal laugh here.)

Your lack of EC's is def going to hurt you. Your best course of action would be to start warming up to big state schools. They care less about EC's and more about GPA and board scores.
