Any food functions as anti-anxiety that I can eat or drink before the test?

Well, nothing that would ever, ever upset your stomach. There is a fine line between eating enough in order to sufficiently power through hours of testing and making you too full or potentially drinking too much water or something. After nearly a year of testing, from PSAT last October, to my very last (yay!) SAT II's I took this morning, I developed a pre-standardized testing food agenda the morning of the exam as follows :
1 peanut butter Zone Bar
1 bottle of Lemon Lime Gatorade
1 banana
And I bring a bottle of water, Livesavers and Wheat Thins with me. It's worked.

I always have a croissant and a cup of coffee... I'm not an avid coffee drinker, and I don't ever (other than on testing days) eat croissants.

I usually grab a cup of coffee and a breakfast sandwich/donut at either burger king or donkin donuts. I carry some of those ulta-fat caramel candy and a bottle of Coke to eat and drink during breaks.

Thanks for sharing!
I drank RedBull this morning, it made me anxiety during the test rather than increase my concentration, I dont know why, I will never drink Redbull again, it doesn't work for me

Yeah, RedBull's gonna make you more anxious--it's gonna spike your blood pressure WAY up...

mary jane, you know those brownies

Red Bull worked for me last time so I drank it this morning, too.
IT totally gave me an upset stomach! I'm never drinking it again!

Good thing I finished Korean 25 minutes early, and proctor let me go to the restroom.

I was always afraid to drink coffee before an SAT as afraid it would "over stimulate me" although i drink coffee everyday...

My scores were 560v/580m... and they were consistant after two tests. On the third test i drank coffee (not experimentally...just wanted some ) and i got 590V/650 M. Did it again and got 580V/680 Math...

Dunno...Those were major jumps too.

I was wondering if the starbucks frappuccino or double shot (? one in a glass bottle, and one in a can) would wake me up if I drank it in the morning. (because I heard from somebody that some coffees can make you sleepy. ones with a lot of milk possibly??)

peanut butter is supposed to stimulate something or other.

also- eat candy during the breaks. the smell is supposed to awaken your senses and help you concentrate more

Drinking coffee is shown to have a negative effect on scores. It makes you too jittery.

But green brownies on the other hand...

My usual routine for test mornings is coffee and bananas before the test, water and gum/candy during the test.

Bananas are supposed to be good for settling upset stomachs...I just eat whatever I would normally eat, i.e. a bowl or two of cereal.

Don't drink soda. It's not that you're going to crash, the gas is embarrassing.

this isn't really anti-anxiety food but EAT FISH (especially the eyes)!! it's brain food :D

Fish eyes make you smart. =) (Contains DHA)

Eat really minty gum before the test (not too sweet though, because it makes your mouth sticky). The mint smell helps with focus.

I had a cup of orange juice and like.. 5 tator tots

Dude... give me some tots.

OOOPS!!

I meant to say hash browns.. they're the same anyway :P
