so decisions tomorrow and i am really anxious.I got even more anxious when i received this email today from my ec
''Dear.... in case you where not informed mit decisions are thisweekend.Good luck!I hope we will have good news.''(a little paraphrased)
Does this mean anything. No other friends of mine received this and we were all interviewd by the same person. Do you think that admissions informs the ecs avout their decisions or what?Thank you very much!

Hmm, no idea. Your EC definitely doesn’t get decisions early. Perhaps he just thought you had the best chance?

It means the EC remembered you and sent you a nice email.

Stop trying to read too deep.

Do EC’s EVER know the decision, even after the official decision date? Like do they ever get a list of the people they interviewed and whether they were accepted or not.

Because, I see a lot of people saying that interviewers sometimes say, “No one in the last 5 years got accepted.”

Well, the ECs host admitted student parties over MIT’s spring break, so they must get some sort of list of students who were admitted from their area.

But they do not know the decisions beforehand.

Four years ago my son’s EC called the house about a week or so after decisions to find out how things had turned out for my son. Son had been rejected. Either the EC had no prior knowledge or he was a great actor.
