I’ll be one of the few Canadians to get a National AP Scholar award! Too bad its in my senior year otherwise it would have helped me a bit in my university application.

I’ll be going to McGill this fall since I was rejected from Berkeley, UCLA, Yale (legacy), and so on…

I’m a really bad test taker. My SAT was 1960
For subject tests, I got 710 Math 2C, 650 Bio E, 740 Bio M, 730 Chem, 550 Lit (and I ended up getting a 4 in AP Lit?? how did this happen)

I got National Scholar last year, kept it this and, and I’m hoping for state scholar:

Unfortunately, my ECs and essays were unremarkable, so the best school I got into was Harvey Mudd(while all my equally smart but more active/sociable friends got into Ivies) and I’m going to Berkeley, my safety.

Good! I did not spot any bitterness. Berkeley is not inferior to ivies for many fields. Work on your weak spots and make a lot of friends. I have no doubt that you will be very successful there. Good Luck!

I should be getting the award later this summer though it won’t be of any help since I have already graduated from high school.

Anyway, the specific tests I took, along with the years I took them, are…

Sophomore Year:

World History - 5

Junior Year:

Biology - 5
English Language and Composition - 5
Environmental Science - 4
Psychology - 5
United States History - 5

Senior Year:

Calculus BC / AB Subscore - 5 / 5
Computer Science A - 5
English Literature and Composition - 4

Still baffled at how I didn’t get a 5 on Environmental Science when I did get a 5 on arguably harder exams. Also, I will mention that I took the Chemistry exam my senior year but had it removed from my record because I already knew I did not pass walking out of the exam room.
