Any norcal engineer students plz help me

ok well with a week left in the admissions deadline for both ucd and ucsd i cant seem to make myself love one campus. i love the weather at sd and i love the atmosphere and proximity to my house at davis (i am a san jose resident). i will be majoring in comp science but i might be switching majors within the engineering schools and i know ucsd outranks ucd’s engineering school by alot but ucd has the most ABET accreditied majors including comp science while ucsd does not. another thing that worries me is the fact that ucsd is in socal and i am not sure if it has much recognition in norcal especially the silicon valley because that is where i plan to live. i wanna know if any of you norcal engineer students have found it hard to get internships in the silicon valley through ucsd since most of their internships probably deal with local companies in socal. i am probably leaning toward davis because they are closer to the bay area and have one of the largest internship programs in the nation so there should be plenty of silicon valley connections available.

thanks for your time and input

SJ isn't close to UCD...........with the cost of fuel, it probably costs the same to drive from Davis to SJ to fly there from SD.

Plus, your diploma says, in big letters

UNIVERSITY OF CALIFORNIA

"etc"

with the name of the actualy university in small letters, you won't have trouble finding a job in SV with a degree from any UC.

sj/silicon valley is closer to ucdavis than ucsd by alot.......traveling wise not so much difference by plane and car but geographically speaking it is and therefore ucd has more "local" connections in silicon valley compared to sd.

i believe ucsd has a much higher ranked engineering dept.
and check out this link by a comp sci professor at uc davis
