Thank you. How will I make myself stand out? If I get a 4.5 from now onto senior year the highest my gpa will rise to is a 3.4 :/

It will be difficult to get into NYU, but stranger things have happened. Are you a minority, Living in NY? Or a historically under-represented individual? These things may help. Are you passionate about something that you have been working on, do you do community service,?
NYU will look at you holistically and judge to see if depite your academic history, you bring something really great to the table. What can you as an individual bring to thE NYU community. Now you will have to fill in the blanks.

Thank you and I can answer all those questions with unique responses. I sincerely hope I make it. I’m studying for the SATs now and I am making up the Ds and Fails. Will it make a difference in my gpa? Also, if I do well on my SATs will it look better?? Believe me I am working so hard to achieve in NYU and I really hope I do. I get depressed just thinking about NYU but I can’t help it it’s my dream school. I apologize to everyone if I seem to “whinny” or if I seem to just search for “sympathy”.

even beyond your ekkk grades, it’s obvious you’re an ambitious person [i’m just catching on to what everyone else is saying] so, hopefully, you’ve excelled in both leadership and/or participation in some type of sport or extracurricular, right? If so i would think its slightly more possibly for you to get waitlisted, not accepted, to nyu. but hey i’m not 100% sure so don;t take me on that loll just a guess

Thank you! I have another question my overall gpa is a 2.6 and I get a 4.5 both semesters next year what will be my overall gpa?

Umm i would guess around a 3.5…but this kind of academic jumping is exactly what turns colleges OFF…nyu is a selective, competitive school that accepts students who’re exorbitant in and out of the classroom however there’s another thing nyu [or any other distinguished school for that matter] are looking for: balance and sustainability. they want to admit students who they KNOW will be able to handle the coursework and keep their grades balanced, even when the going gets tough.
so though it may be awesome [and it is!] that you may get a 4.5 both semesters next year. this “yoyo” effect also plays against you and creates doubt to admissions
this is all my perception as i went thru the admission process and not 100% accurate so i do encourage you to apply ! you never know what may happen :]

Thank you and it’s okay as long as I get a 3.5 . I’ll be the happiest camper ever! Would Boston university consider me? I’m just curious. Thank you again:)
