Any one good with computers please?

<p>Hey will my computer had a virus, so i had my friend come and help re-install everything. The only problem is i can't hear anything on the computer. When i go to 'Volume Control', i cant getting this message: "There are no active mixers devices available. To install mixer devices, go to Control Panel, click Printers and Other Harvard, and then Click Hardware. This program will now close."</p>

<p>The problem with this is once i go to add hardware i don't get anything to down. So what do u guys think i shud do? I also dont have a resource CD or anything so i can't re-install anything from a computer.Can anybody provice me with helpful tips or links ?</p>

<p>I'm not on my windows computer right now so I'm going to tell you the steps from the top of my head. If something doesnt work out, it's probably because I forgot something, if this is the case, I'll confirm everything tonight.</p>

<p>What is wrong is that you're missing your sound drivers. You need to get the drivers, which are made for your specific soundcard. Go to your computer manufacturer's website (assuming you didnt build this pc yourself) and look for the drivers. this can be usually found under "downloads" or "support".</p>

<p>What does your computer use for sound anyway?</p>
